Background / History

Tang Yu grew up with Feng Jingqi in an orphanage. The two regarded each other as brothers after leaving it, and Feng was Tang Yu’s only family. Feng later discovered the God-Demon Space and shared its secret with Tang Yu; together, they planned to turn it into a game that could unite humanity against the coming threat. 20

Following Feng Jingqi’s apparent death, Tang Yu inherited their mission: protect Earth, continue developing Omnipotent God, and eventually take revenge on the forces threatening humanity. He repeatedly searched for Feng’s soul, then later received confirmation that Feng was trapped rather than truly gone. 101 154

Tang Yu restored three Minor Worlds to create the game’s initial Divine Domain templates and identified thirty-eight more worlds for future use. He selected the resource-poor Star Archipelago as the players’ starting region, allowing them to develop before confronting major Boundless Realm factions. 4

Tang Yu is patient, calculating, and intensely focused on long-term survival. He treats the conflict with the Boundless Realm as a hidden chess game, avoiding direct action when it could expose the God-Demon Space or endanger humanity—even when he personally wants revenge. 124 162 286

Despite his pragmatism, Tang Yu is deeply protective of people he considers his own. Feng Jingqi’s legacy motivates him, Elder Mu An’s death leads him to establish the Hall of Heroes, and he intervenes to support players such as Xie Wen when their suffering moves him. 20 81 105 389
