Nature and Hazards

Fiend Qi is a cold, sinister energy that can enter a cultivator alongside the medicinal force of a Fiend Essence Pill. While the pill greatly accelerates spirit-qi absorption, its Fiend Qi travels through the meridians and can sting or damage the viscera. 24

• Fiend Essence Pills cannot assist a breakthrough, but can accelerate cultivation; their severe Fiend Qi side effect makes them difficult to sell. 24

Li Yuan fully explored a Fiend Ore mine and equipped its complete Fiend Vein in his Special Equipment Slot. Unlike ordinary equipment, the vein was not consumed upon being equipped. 241
