In the back mountains of the Misty Cloud Sect lay the secluded retreat of Yun Shan, the sect's former leader.

"Hehehe, it was rather presumptuous of me to disturb Sect Master Yun's quiet cultivation." Protector Wu's chilling laughter seemed to pierce straight into Yun Shan's heart.
"You're from the Soul Hall?" Yun Shan quickly spotted the distinctive black mist, the hallmark appearance of those who acted on behalf of the Soul Hall.
"I didn't expect Sect Master Yun to know so much. Unfortunately, after Yun Potian, the Misty Cloud Sect has had no worthy successors." Protector Wu seemed genuinely regretful as he let out a wistful sigh.
Under its founding ancestor Yun Potian's leadership, the Misty Cloud Sect had once become one of the top factions on the Dou Qi Continent. Yet after him, there had been no one capable of carrying on his legacy. Following Yun Potian's death, it had declined into a third-rate force that could not even produce a Dou Zong.
Yun Shan knew that his strength was nowhere near enough to take down the person before him. After all, Soul Hall Protectors possessed at least the strength of a Dou Zong.
