Chernobog, northern district, outside a house
Talulah held out her hand. Fine rain fell onto her palm, gathering into droplets that streamed through the gaps between her fingers.
"Has it been raining in Chernobog these past few days?" Talulah asked, her tone somewhere between confusion and suspicion.
"The Catastrophe Messenger sent a weather forecast. It said Chernobog was supposed to be sunny these days, but with this weather, a north wind moving south and bringing rain is perfectly normal. Besides, this weather won't affect our operation in any way, will it?" A white-haired boy walked out of the house. A mocking curl hung on his lips, and his expression looked slightly deranged.
"Mephisto, Patriot already knows what you and your squad have been doing at the school. He's very dissatisfied with your behavior." Talulah glanced at the boy beside her, too lazy even to move away from the doorway she was leaning against.
"Tch! Patriot again. We're all officers, so why does he keep nagging me every single day..." Disgust appeared on Mephisto's face when he heard Talulah's words. In the end, he tapped the ground with the staff in his hand.
"I'll pull my squad out of the school. I was getting bored of it anyway." With that, he walked away without looking back. After he left, a black-haired young man emerged from the shadows. He respectfully bowed to Talulah, then ran off in the direction Mephisto had gone.
Flames suddenly ignited in Talulah's outstretched hand, instantly drying her wet palm. The corners of her eyes lifted slightly, revealing a faint smile.
"Looks like another remarkable little one has entered the stage."
After looking up at the gloomy sky, Talulah turned and walked back into the room.
Meanwhile, Kanna and Raidian were walking through Chernobog beneath the drizzle.
