"The promise?" Bibi Dong repeated the words softly, her expression somewhat dazed.

"Of course I do." Not only did Deng Tianxin show no intention of retreating, he leaned closer and wrapped Bibi Dong in his arms, leaving her no room to back away. "I'm proposing to my teacher. Are you marrying me or not? If not, I'll go out into the courtyard and shout 'old witch' three more times so the whole Pope Palace can hear."
Bibi Dong was thoroughly angered by his shamelessness. She raised a hand and viciously pinched his waist. "You wouldn't dare!"
