Darkness fell before his eyes, and his vision shifted.

Yagami woke on a small boat, arriving on the night of the full moon just after landing in the Land of Waves.

He adjusted his Fox mask. The sensation of being burned alive in his previous life had yet to fade.

His face still stung, as though his flesh and blood had melted and charred.

"Fox, get off the boat!"

Unlike last time, Yagami hesitated instead of immediately jumping from the boat, earning a prompt from his captain.

Yagami remembered that Captain Antelope had definitely not said that in his previous life.

After being revived, most events would follow the plot, but some of his actions and changes could bring about different circumstances. That was what Yagami did not want to see.

The Cloud Ninja hidden among the fishermen made their move. In the end, Horned Bull died, while Captain Antelope was wounded.

Yagami rushed out of the seawater and carried the injured Captain Antelope away.

Within the Coconut Grove, Captain Antelope suddenly felt pain in his side.

His scalp tingled as he thought Fox was going to kill him.

He hurriedly looked down and saw Fox injecting him with a Hemostatic Agent.

Captain Antelope breathed a sigh of relief. Fox could not possibly be foolish enough to attack him.

Even badly injured and after taking several slashes, he could still kill Fox.

The two arrived at a natural cave beneath a reef and hid inside it.

This time, not only did Yagami have no intention of killing him, he even carefully treated Captain Antelope's wounds.

"Did the complaints in the village arise naturally, or were they..."

"Stop right there!" Captain Antelope said sternly.

"If you want to survive in ANBU, you cannot know what you should not know or ask what you should not ask.

"Those complaints about Uzu Hidden Village naturally arose, of course. Do you think our ANBU spread them?"

Although Captain Antelope denied it, Yagami felt there was an eighty-percent chance ANBU had done it.

This won't do. If I keep being an ANBU nobody, not even knowing what the missions are about and only obeying my captain,

he would remain extremely passive in every mission.

At the very least, he had to become a squad leader and enter the mission assignment system before he could learn more intelligence.
