White Spear Heron!

The young White Spear Heron was little different from an ordinary heron. It did not yet have much combat ability, yet it had come to help Yuka scout for information.

Konoha knew the Uzumaki Clan far too well and possessed intelligence on the vast majority of its members.

The moment he saw the White Spear Heron, Black Gorilla Commander immediately said without needing Yagami's reminder, "It's Uzumaki Yuka! Uzumaki Yuka is nearby!"

Black Gorilla Commander did not act rashly. Instead, he carefully crawled toward the White Spear Heron.

The White Spear Heron noticed nothing.

Just as Black Gorilla and Yagami were about to capture the White Spear Heron, the bird took flight and flew into the woods behind it.

Black Gorilla and Yagami hurriedly rose and followed.

The woods in this park were vast, and a faint water mist hung in the air, making it impossible to see into the distance.

As they gave chase, Yagami heard two heron cries.

Why was another heron flying toward them?

"Not good! Run!"

Black Gorilla shouted and no longer bothered concealing himself, leaping backward.

The other White Spear Heron had brought Mist Ninja with it!

Uzumaki Yuka had learned to Divert Disaster Eastward—using a tiger to devour wolves.

Eight Mist Ninja surrounded Black Gorilla and Yagami.

Battle erupted instantly!

Black Gorilla Commander's fist swelled against the wind.

Black Gorilla Commander was actually from the Akimichi Clan.

His fist, as large as a cart, struck the Mist Ninja in front of him and sent him flying.

The sound of shattering bones made their scalps go numb.

Black Gorilla Commander took another step forward, only to suddenly discover that he could not move his feet.

Slime had appeared on the ground, sticking Black Gorilla Commander's feet in place.

Seeing this, Yagami did not dare step forward either. He had no idea what strange Water Release this was.

Black Gorilla Commander was too heavy. He tried several times to jump, but could not get off the ground.

Even if Black Gorilla Squad Commander had not ordered him to, Yagami would have left upon seeing that the situation had turned bad.

After walking a dozen paces, Yagami ran headlong into another Mist Ninja squad.

He braced himself, when a tremendous crash suddenly came from behind him.

A stream of water pierced through the tree trunk behind him, carrying terrifying momentum as it shot toward his lower back.

The moment he heard it, he twisted at the waist and dove to the side.

The instant he landed, he realized something was wrong. There was also slime Water Release beneath him.

His hands and right leg were stuck fast, leaving him utterly unable to exert any strength.

Yagami hurriedly formed Hand Seals, wanting to use Earth-Corpse Transmigration to dive underground.

With the slime in the way, his descent was very slow.

His Chakra Quantity was too low.

Just as in the plot of his previous life, after searching the Land of Waves for a long time, he entered the Capital.

After entering the Capital, Yagami found the Black Gorilla Squad Commander. One of Black Gorilla's arms had been severed, greatly reducing his combat strength.

The heron led the two of them into the woods of the park.

He thought to himself that Fox was quite a good subordinate—cautious and meticulous, always able to complete his missions. Now that he had lost an arm, Fox even knew to be considerate of him and let him rest as much as possible.

After losing an arm, his sense of balance had become much worse. Having him stand atop a tree would be rather strenuous.

Fox was quite capable as well. From the way he gathered Chakra in his feet and stood easily on the treetop, his fundamentals were clearly solid.

Yagami jumped down from the treetop and said to the Black Gorilla Squad Commander, "Commander, I saw another heron flying over from the other side. There are two herons in the woods. Should I use a Shadow Clone to investigate?"

"Good." Black Gorilla felt that Fox truly was cautious.

The Shadow Clone disappeared into the depths of the woods.

After leaving the woods and reaching the park's lakeshore, they found quite a few Capital civilians still out enjoying themselves there.

Yagami said, "Commander, I'll stand guard here. Please go contact the Hippo Squad Captain."

"Alright. But be extremely careful."

Black Gorilla liked Fox more and more as a subordinate.

Once his squad was rebuilt, he would make good use of Fox.

After Black Gorilla had gone far away, Yagami took out a very small scroll.

Since the White Spear Heron was here, Yuka was very likely hiding somewhere in the woods as well.

He hoped Yuka could find him.

A few minutes later, rustling came from the bushes behind Yagami.

"Yuka, is that you?"
