Background / History
Tang San attended Shrek Academy and regarded Yu Xiaogang as his teacher, admiring him as a “Grandmaster” whose theories supposedly helped students reach the level-thirty bottleneck 9. He also maintained a close, sibling-like bond with Xiao Wu, who had previously relied heavily on him 6 7.
His relationship with Xiao Wu deteriorated after she joined the chat group. When she became focused on its red packets and rewards, she dismissed his attempts to manage her routine; Tang San privately recognized that he had grown accustomed to her dependence and began considering how to change his approach toward her 6 7.
Qin Feng later exposed alleged aspects of Tang San’s past and conduct to the chat group: stealing Tang Sect secret manuals in a previous life, developing killing intent toward a Notting Academy gatekeeper, holding double standards toward soul beasts, and intending to exploit the Dugu family’s Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well after curing their poison 37 38 52 57. These revelations caused Xiao Wu to question whether he was truly trustworthy 37 52.
Personality
Tang San presents himself as upright, protective, and devoted to his companions. He defends Dai Mubai and Ma Hongjun after their defeat and vows to settle their grievances with Qin Feng 50 51.
However, he is repeatedly depicted as prideful, resentful, and willing to use lethal or concealed methods when outmatched. After losing to Qin Feng, he fixates on revenge; Qin Feng and the chat group characterize his conduct as hypocritical and governed by double standards 37 38 51 58.
His final actions are driven by hatred and desperation. Following Tang Hao’s death, he uses evil methods to drain life force from surrounding soul beasts and Blue Silver Grass in pursuit of greater power 71 72.
