Background / History

Tang San enters Nuoding Academy as the head of Dorm Seven. Initially nervous and inexperienced around girls, he challenges the incoming Jiang Jiu and Xiao Wu according to the dorm's newcomer tradition. Xiao Wu defeats him using her Soft Technique, establishing herself as the dorm's new boss. 1 2

He trains under Yu Xiaogang and travels with him to the Soul Hunting Forest to obtain his first spirit ring. Yu Xiaogang notes Jiang Jiu's diligence and advises Tang San that Jiang Jiu is worth befriending. 6

Tang San later joins Shi San's Blacksmith Shop, where he reconnects with Jiang Jiu as a roommate and fellow smith. Although initially envious of Jiang Jiu and Xiao Wu's close companionship, he gradually builds a genuine friendship with both of them through forging, meals, and mutual training. 15 16

During a visit to Holy Soul Village, Tang San discovers that his father has left him a letter and departed. Jiang Jiu helps clean his house and comforts him.
