Background and history
Belial was an Ultra Warrior and the Land of Light's former second-in-command. After touching the Plasma Spark, he was arrested and exiled by Father of Ultra, once his close friend. While Belial was weakened and resentful, Alien Reiblood forcibly possessed him and amplified the darkness within him 26 56.
Belial's first assault on the Land of Light ended when Ultraman King subdued him and sealed him in the Space Prison. Later, a Zarabu Alien freed him; Belial immediately killed his liberator, defeated Ultraman Taro, Father of Ultra, and Mother of Ultra, and stole the Plasma Spark. Its removal plunged the Land of Light into a deep freeze. Ultraman Zero eventually defeated Belial and returned the Spark 27 29 30 64.
Belial survived that defeat and built the Belial Galactic Empire in another universe. After absorbing Emerana Ore, he became Arch Belial, but Zero—revived and equipped with the Shield of Baraji—destroyed his body and army. Belial's surviving soul later possessed Zero, only to be expelled by Shining Zero. Shining Zero's subsequent time reversal inadvertently revived Belial again 64 74 75 76 86 88.
After another resurrection, Belial activated the Super-Spacetime Bomb, destroying a universe; Ultraman King merged with it to restore it and save its inhabitants. Belial was ultimately killed by Ultraman Geed, an artificial Ultra created from his genetic factors. Before dying, Belial acknowledged Geed as his son 135 136 139.
Parallel-spacetime Belial
A Belial from another spacetime entered a rift before Alien Reiblood could possess him and arrived on Douluo Planet. He merged with a man trying to save his wife and child from a Soul Master, granting the man power. Belial initially urged him to use that power for revenge, but the man wanted only to protect his family. Their years together led Belial to reconsider his pursuit of power and regret his past 139 140 141.
This Belial died alongside the man. Centuries later, a descendant found the Alpha Scepter Belial had left behind. When Alien Reiblood threatened to take control of Belial, a boy called to him with the scepter; Geed then drove it into Belial's Color Timer. Remembering his bond with the family across ten generations, Belial rejected Reiblood and became Shining Belial 141 142.
