The elder addressed as Senior Brother fell silent for a moment.

His gaze passed through the transparent wall and settled on the retreating figure in the hall below. He watched for several breaths before finally speaking.

He walked over to the elder and sat down cross-legged. He glanced toward the hall below, then turned his gaze back.

"Are you a little too certain, Senior Brother?" His tone was measured, but carried a hint of scrutiny. "He might not even make it up a hundred Cloud Ladder steps. I can sense that
