At the question, Marshall, who loved to teach, smiled and explained, "Enchanting adds a special effect to a weapon, increasing its physical damage and dealing additional elemental damage. It can also add defense or elemental resistance to armor. Exorcist Priests from the various churches and some Spirit Controllers can wield this kind of spiritual power. There's also permanent enchanting, where enchanters add these special effects to weapons or armor during their creation."
"My enchantment lasts for an hour. Kraun, once we're back from this mission, you should brush up on your basic knowledge," Nick said, raising the Round Shield in his hand. "Get ready. They're coming."
I'd only advanced yesterday, okay? I hadn't even had time to study Transcendence knowledge yet. Kraun silently protested, drawing his Revolver with his left hand.
I'll empty a clip into them first. Firearms should be useful against beasts, right?
While the thought was still circling in his mind, a large gray wolf leaped out of the fog. Then, one after another, gray wolves, leopards, and lynxes sprang into view.
Their eyes were bloodred, and large patches of their bodies were covered in sores. Yellow slime dripped from their wounds, and tiny green tendrils had sprouted from parts of their bodies. The tendrils swayed faintly in the air, like sea anemones spreading out underwater.
Faced with this sight, everyone knew that something unexpected had happened.
"Roar!" The ground trembled slightly. Two or three seconds later, a massive brown bear, standing three meters tall, dropped from above.
Green tendrils covered the top of the bear's head and one of its eye sockets.
"Thud!" It slammed into the ground. A scrawny gray wolf couldn't dodge in time and was crushed beneath the bear, bursting into a
