The Heaven-Devouring Demon Jar's voice rang out.
"Fine. I'll fight you."
Ye Lin looked into Huang Ran's eyes. From beginning to end, it seemed he had never taken Huang Ran seriously. That was rather impolite.
In that case, he would kill this lord of the forbidden zone as an apology for his rudeness.
"I grant you the power of the forbidden zone."
Huang Ran pointed at Ye Lin. In an instant, a stream of black aura coiled above Ye Lin's head. With that black aura present, Ye Lin felt the dragon aura's suppression over him vanish.
He could fly now.
Huang Ran had been upright and honorable his entire life. Even in battle, he would not resort to such cheap and dirty tricks.
If Ye Lin could not fly, his combat strength would inevitably be diminished. That would take much of the fun out of it.
"Hahaha, you're not bad."
Ye Lin laughed heartily, gripping his long sword in his right hand before leaping fiercely toward Huang Ran.
In Huang Ran's eyes, Ye Lin transformed into a streak of sword light. Man and sword became one, while chains of laws wound around his body.
"Now this is a worthy opponent. At my peak, you would have been nothing—but now, you are just right."
The corners of Huang Ran's mouth curled upward as a terrifying aura burst from his body. All these years, he had been struggling to keep his injuries from worsening.
Those days had been truly unbearable. Now, he no longer wanted to endure them. Before he died, he only wanted one battle to his heart's content.
"Come... fight!"
Huang Ran suddenly dove downward. The two crashed together violently, only to separate at the instant of contact. They turned into two streaks of sword light that collided without pause.
