As Ye Lin waited in anguish, Luo Yao, wrapped in river water, arrived at his side and simply stared at him.
"Why didn't you wait for me when you left? Why didn't you take me with you? Aren't we friends?"
Luo Yao asked in a somewhat aggrieved voice. She regarded Ye Lin as a friend, but he apparently had not regarded her as a true friend.
Ye Lin was inwardly shocked as he looked at Luo Yao. He had completely concealed his aura, and with the mask on, he was practically a different person altogether.
Yet Luo Yao had seen through this identity so easily, which greatly startled him.
Still, Ye Lin was not overly surprised. Luo Yao was full of secrets, after all, and he had already grown accustomed to it.
"This isn't a place you should be. It's very dangerous here."
Ye Lin said in a deep voice.
"You're worried about me. You're worried about me, aren't you? So this is what it feels like to be cared about."
Ye Lin's words clearly took on another meaning in Luo Yao's ears. Her face filled with excitement as she touched her chin and hopped circles around Ye Lin, looking utterly delighted.
With every step she took, a spray of water rippled beneath her feet.
Though she was in midair, the
