Ye Lin held the Blooddrinking Sword of the Fallen Emperor and followed the small path before him all the way down.
This Desolate Land had no distinction between day and night, because there was no sky here at all. When he looked up, the stars filling the heavens were incomparably clear, as though he stood within the entire Starry Sky.
As far as the eye could see, everything was shrouded in gray. It was neither dark nor bright, but remained in a dim, hazy state.
The path beneath his feet was covered in soil, and upon that soil, Ye Lin could make out enormous footprints one after another.
There was no need to think about who had left those footprints—they had to be Heavenly Demons.
Ye Lin walked along the path with the Blooddrinking Sword of the Fallen Emperor in hand, his razor-sharp eyes constantly searching the surroundings.
This place was strange as well. Divine sense could not spread out at all, as though something in the air specifically blocked it.
Poor Ye Lin could only rely on his eyes and the unique perception of a Golden Immortal.
Divine sense was, in the end, merely an auxiliary tool.
When all was said and done, one still had to rely on perception.
"Roar."
Just as Ye Lin walked forward, a roar came from his right. The next moment, a streak of purple light hurtled fiercely toward him.
In an instant, Ye Lin instinctively raised the Long Sword in his hand before him to block. A tremendous force came through the Blooddrinking Sword of the Fallen Emperor, directly sending Ye Lin flying.
After springing through the air several times to dissipate the force, Ye Lin came to a steady stop in the distance, his eyes fixed unblinkingly on the enormous figure afar.
