The Vermilion Bird's wings overlapped layer upon layer. Every feather seemed to be burning, flames dancing between them and radiating searing heat.
The patterns upon the Black Tortoise's shell crisscrossed one another, faintly outlining a celestial chart within which the sun, moon, and stars flowed.
Even stranger, the eyes of these four divine beasts were slowly turning.
Their gazes overlooked the countless beings around the arena, cold and majestic, as though they might burst from the pillars at any moment and choose someone to devour.
Someone could not help taking one more look into the Azure Dragon's eyes. In an instant, his mind went blank, as though ancient dragon might had slammed directly into his sea of consciousness. His entire body froze in place. Only after
