Another Quasi-Saint cultivator frowned.
On the Arena, Walker had swallowed his fill of Saintly Breath.
His short body had swollen a full size larger. Dark green light churned beneath his gray-brown skin, and the Chaos energy pouring off him was so dense it had nearly taken solid form.
The murky gray-white mist seeping from his pores had already covered most of the Arena.
The mist ate into the Coiling Dragon Pillars at the Arena's four corners. The terrifying light of the laws sealed within them flickered erratically. The pillars were far from breaking, but they were operating at only seventy percent capacity.
That had little effect on the Arena. It could even be said to have none at all.
But it was enough to show how powerful Walker was.
"Little girl."
Walker tilted his head, the slit pupil of his turbid yellow left eye locking onto Zhao Zhaoxue.
"You still have time to surrender."
"I'm in a good mood. I can give you a quick death—one spear through the heart. No pain."
Zhao Zhaoxue ignored him.
She closed her eyes.
Walker had swallowed most of the Saintly Breath on the Arena. What little remained left a visible empty zone around her, three feet wide.
The Saintly Breath flowed around her as though afraid to come close, leaving a ring of clear air around her body.
But Zhao Zhaoxue paid it no mind.
Her breathing grew long and deep.
One breath.
Two breaths.
Three breaths.
Between each breath, the fingers gripping her spear made a tiny adjustment.
The movement was so light and slow that she seemed
