Ch. 1362Western Continent

Ye Lin left the Central Continent for the Western Continent after arranging for Hong Batian and Old Garden to search other continents. When he arrived, a Buddha ordered Golden Cicada to welcome him.

  • Ye Lin sent Hong Batian to the Southern Continent and assigned Old Garden to the Eastern Continent, then escorted Old Garden partway with Hong Batian.
  • Ye Lin shattered the weakened golden barrier at the edge of the Central Continent and set out across the Endless Sea.
  • Ye Lin reached the Western Continent, where Buddhist cultivators were widespread and no golden barrier blocked his way.
  • A golden Buddha noticed Ye Lin's arrival and ordered the drowsy young monk Golden Cicada to welcome him.

Ch. 1363Golden Cicada

Ye Lin explored the Buddhist-dominated Western Continent and was invited by Golden Cicada to a banquet hosted by his master, the Spirit Mountain Buddha Ancestor. Ye Lin accepted and followed Golden Cicada across the continent, arriving at an enormous golden mountain.

  • After Golden Cicada left the great hall, the Buddha remarked that their new guest did not seem simple.
  • Ye Lin marveled at Buddhism’s influence and the converted people and Demon Beasts throughout the Western Continent.
  • Golden Cicada emerged from a shattered void and invited Ye Lin to a banquet hosted by the Spirit Mountain Buddha Ancestor.
  • Ye Lin accepted the invitation, and Golden Cicada suspected that he had absolute confidence in his own strength.
  • Ye Lin followed Golden Cicada across the Western Continent for two hours and reached an enormous golden mountain.

Ch. 13641364. Secretly Cross the Chencang Pass

Ye Lin accompanied Golden Cicada to Spirit Mountain, where the Buddhist hall’s powerful formation suppressed his strength. He resisted the hall’s attempt to control him and sat down before the immense golden Buddha.

  • Ye Lin marveled at Mount Golden and sensed a formation beneath it powerful enough to threaten him.
  • Golden Cicada led Ye Lin to the summit and invited him into the great hall.
  • The hall’s formation suppressed ten percent of Ye Lin’s strength as a majestic voice welcomed him.
  • Ye Lin mocked the Buddhists’ forceful greeting, shattered the golden barrier blocking a chair, and sat before the giant Buddha.

Ch. 1365The Smiling Buddha

Ye Lin urged the golden Buddha to join the five continents in resisting the Outer Realm Heavenly Demons, but the Buddha refused to risk his Buddhist brethren. The chapter ended with Ye Lin accusing the Buddhists of planning to ascend and abandon the Profound Yellow World.

  • The golden Buddha asked where Ye Lin came from and offered to have a disciple show him around Western Continent.
  • Ye Lin said he had come to learn Western Continent's stance on uniting against the Outer Realm Heavenly Demons.
  • The golden Buddha said his master had died fighting the demons and that he would not send his Buddhist brethren to their deaths.
  • Ye Lin accused the Buddhists of waiting for the Ascension Gate so they could ascend and leave the world's people to their fate.

Ch. 1366Almost Died

Ye Lin hinted that the golden Buddha’s hopes of becoming immortal were misplaced, then confirmed the truth after the Buddha consulted others. The old monk’s final hope collapsed, and black aura began to coil around him.

  • Ye Lin told the golden Buddha to ask his Central Continent connections about the truth and showed that he had the strength to speak as an equal.
  • The golden Buddha covered the hall in golden light and invoked a powerful Buddhist force, while Ye Lin’s barrier shielded him from the shockwave.
  • The golden Buddha vanished, revealing an old monk who tapped a wooden fish and asked Ye Lin whether his claim was true.
  • Ye Lin confirmed the claim, extinguishing the old monk’s last hope of ascending and becoming immortal.
  • Black aura began to wind around the old monk as his state of mind collapsed.

Ch. 1367Heart Demon Devours Body

The old monk’s shattered hope of reaching the Immortal World caused a heart demon to consume him, but Ye Lin intervened and helped suppress it. The old monk then questioned how anyone could keep pursuing the Dao when the path ahead had been severed.

  • The old monk’s realization that the Ascension Gate and Immortal World offered no hope turned his obsession into a heart demon.
  • Ye Lin feared the old monk’s death would make the Western Continent his enemy and moved to save him.
  • Ye Lin poured Immortal Qi into the old monk and ordered him to circulate his cultivation.
  • The old monk and Ye Lin suppressed the heart demon, and the old monk explained that his pursuit had lost meaning because the road to transcendence was cut off.

Ch. 1368One Wrong Step, Every Step is Wrong

Ye Lin revived the old monk’s hope of becoming immortal by revealing that he could preserve Immortal Qi in his body and claimed to be a true immortal. He offered to teach the method of immortality if the monk gathered the Western Continent’s strength and followed his orders to enter the Central Continent and fight the Outer Realm Heavenly Demons.

  • Ye Lin recognized that the old monk’s doubts about his Buddhist path could lead him to pass away in meditation.
  • Ye Lin told the old monk to sense the Immortal Qi he had placed in his body.
  • The old monk recognized the Immortal Qi and asked Ye Lin to teach him how to become immortal.
  • Ye Lin claimed that true immortals still existed and that he knew the method of becoming immortal.
  • Ye Lin demanded that the old monk gather the Western Continent’s strength and lead it against the Outer Realm Heavenly Demons in exchange for the method.

Ch. 1369I Don't Believe It

Ye Lin persuaded the old monk to consider his offer of a method to become immortal after the monk doubted his motives. The old monk chose to believe him for now and invited him to a meeting with the others.

  • The old monk told Ye Lin that his words did not inspire trust and suspected he wanted to use him.
  • Ye Lin threatened to leave the old monk to wait for death, then turned toward the hall doors.
  • The old monk called Ye Lin back and asked whether his offer was true.
  • Ye Lin pointed out that the old monk's choice mattered more than whether the offer was true or false.
  • The old monk agreed to believe Ye Lin and said they needed to discuss the matter with the others, inviting Ye Lin to attend.

Ch. 1370Grand Assembly

The old monk brought Ye Lin before Buddhism’s four other pillars to share the major matter Ye Lin had brought. Ye Lin sent a sphere of light containing the information into the air, leaving the five elders to see what it held.

  • The old monk led Ye Lin out into the sunlight and across a sea of clouds to a mountain peak.
  • The four elders complained that the old monk had disturbed their lifespan-preserving seclusion.
  • The old monk told the elders that Ye Lin had brought an important matter.
  • Ye Lin flicked a sphere of light into the air so the elders could view the information inside.

Ch. 1371From Today Onwards, Buddhism Enters the World

Ye Lin persuaded Buddhism’s five elders to accept his plan and join the fight against the Outer Realm Heavenly Demons. Buddhism formally entered the world, and Ye Lin said he would contact them after connecting the four other continents to the Central Continent.

  • One of the five elders judged Ye Lin’s proposal fifty percent credible, and the elders lamented the fate facing Buddhism.
  • An elder argued that Buddhism had no other path and agreed to risk everything for the Xuanhuang Great World.
  • The other four elders accepted the decision, and Buddhism formally entered the world.
  • The central elder promised that Buddhism would gather the Western Continent’s strength against the Outer Realm Heavenly Demons.
  • Ye Lin told the elders to wait for news of his plan to connect the continents to the Central Continent.

Ch. 1372Great Freedom

Ye Lin refused to explain his motives to the Buddhist elders and continued searching the Western Continent for one of five items needed for his mission. He planned to raise Xuanhuang Great World's experts to the Immortal Realm to help destroy the Heavenly Demon Great World, but worried they might abandon him afterward; then he spotted something interesting and headed toward it.

  • A bald elder asked Ye Lin why he was helping the world, and Ye Lin told the Buddhist elders to handle their duties without asking about matters they did not need to know.
  • After Ye Lin left, the five bald elders failed to work out what he stood to gain.
  • Ye Lin searched the Western Continent for one of the five items required to destroy the Heavenly Demon Great World.
  • Ye Lin reasoned that he needed Xuanhuang Great World's experts to reach the Immortal Realm, but worried they might refuse to follow him once they did.
  • Ye Lin spotted something interesting and headed toward it.

Ch. 1373Qin Feng

Ye Lin read Qin Feng’s fate panel and learned that Qin Feng would find a mysterious jade bottle in Shattered Star Valley. After watching three Half-Immortal women overpower Qin Feng, Ye Lin headed to the valley to seek the treasure himself.

  • Ye Lin examined Qin Feng’s panel and saw his romantic Fate Traits and predicted future.
  • Three beautiful women surrounded Qin Feng, explaining that his looks and temperament had attracted them.
  • The women revealed their Half-Immortal cultivation and overwhelmed Qin Feng despite his resistance.
  • Ye Lin left the scene and set out for Shattered Star Valley to find the jade bottle.

Ch. 1374Immortal-Loosening Powder, Acquired

Ye Lin traveled to Shattered Star Valley in search of a treasure and captured the jade bottle containing the Immortal-Loosening Powder. Elsewhere, Qin Feng recovered from a humiliating encounter and left in secret.

  • Ye Lin arrived in Shattered Star Valley after secretly acquiring memories from people along the way.
  • Ye Lin spotted a blazing golden light in the valley and used his divine sense to locate a jade bottle.
  • The emerald jade bottle tried to flee, but Ye Lin bound it with golden chains and placed it in his Spatial Ring, identifying it as the Immortal-Loosening Powder.
  • Qin Feng recovered, cursed the person who had humiliated him, retrieved the Void Mirror, and left after checking that nobody had seen him.

Ch. 1375Fate Rank Ascends

After checking his status, Ye Lin saw that his Fate Rank had risen and decided to travel from the Western Continent to the Southern and Eastern Continents to finish his mission. He looked forward to leaving this world and challenging the starry sky’s prodigies.

  • Ye Lin inspected his status panel and saw his Red (Incomplete) Fate Rank, increased luck, and fate ending at the peak of the Heavenly Immortal Realm.
  • Ye Lin attributed his recent success to his increased Fate Rank and expected the remaining continents to go smoothly.
  • Ye Lin left Shattered Star Valley and headed across the Endless Sea toward the Southern Continent, planning to visit the Eastern Continent last.
  • Ye Lin decided to use his clones to open the spatial passages to the continents.

Ch. 1376Outrageous

Ye Lin arrived in the devastated Southern Continent and found no living beings across hundreds of millions of miles. He summoned Xiaoyao, who explained that a catastrophic battle three years earlier had nearly destroyed the continent.

  • Ye Lin crossed from the Western Continent to the Southern Continent, considering the vastness of the Endless Sea and his plans for the sea races.
  • Ye Lin surveyed the ruined land and found it covered with corpses, with no living beings within hundreds of millions of miles.
  • Ye Lin summoned Xiaoyao from a spatial rift and asked what had happened in the Southern Continent.
  • Xiaoyao said a battle involving nearly every major race had erupted three years earlier and shattered heaven and earth.
  • Xiaoyao reported that fewer than one in ten of the Southern Continent's top powers and living beings had survived.

Ch. 1377The Shifting Sands of the Southern Continent

Ye Lin learned that a war had devastated the Southern Continent, with the deep-sea races and transcendent factions helping fuel the conflict. He left Xiaoyao to hold the continent while he investigated further, and Xiaoyao worried that Ye Lin might eventually sacrifice him.

  • Ye Lin asked Xiaoyao what had caused the great war, and Xiaoyao said the deep-sea races appeared to have stirred up trouble behind the scenes.
  • Xiaoyao told Ye Lin that the transcendent factions had joined the war and fanned the flames, suffering heavy losses and losing their next generation of heirs.
  • Ye Lin told Xiaoyao to hold the Southern Continent and await orders, then departed through the shattered void to investigate.
  • Xiaoyao reflected that Ye Lin could sacrifice him and the other avatars to greatly increase his cultivation, and hoped that Ye Lin would not do so yet.

Ch. 1378You Really Think I'm a Vegetarian?

Ye Lin confronted the Heavenly Constant Sect over the war in the Southern Continent, killing two guards and forcing his way inside. He demanded an explanation from the sect’s dying elder, who refused to answer, and their powerful auras collided.

  • Ye Lin gave the Heavenly Constant Sect three breaths to open its protection array and explain the war in the Southern Continent.
  • Two silver-armored First Tribulation Loose Immortal guards threatened Ye Lin, and he killed them with a casual palm strike.
  • The Heavenly Constant Sect lowered its protection array, and Ye Lin entered and broke open the door to a secret chamber.
  • The sect’s dying elder said the Southern Continent’s war was an internal affair and ordered Ye Lin to leave.
  • Ye Lin demanded that the elder answer him, and their powerful auras clashed as the elder struggled against Ye Lin’s pressure.

Ch. 1379Conversation

Ye Lin defeated the old man and learned that he had helped devastate Southern Continent because of a supposed Heavenly Dao decree demanding blood sacrifices to expand the Ascension Gate. Ye Lin argued that the decree was actually issued by the Devourer, which seemed close to awakening, and challenged the old man to consider why the Heavenly Dao would demand such a sacrifice.

  • Ye Lin overpowered the old man in their aura contest, then withdrew his aura and asked why he had acted as he did.
  • The old man said the Heavenly Dao had ordered them to sacrifice living beings’ qi and blood to make room for more ascenders in the Ascension Gate.
  • Ye Lin condemned the devastation of Southern Continent and said the Heavenly Dao would not issue a decree that harmed its own world.
  • Ye Lin concluded that the Devourer had issued the decree and warned that it was nearing full awakening.
  • The old man insisted the decree’s powerful aura proved it came from the Heavenly Dao, and Ye Lin questioned why the Heavenly Dao would use blood sacrifices to enable ascension.

Ch. 1380Are You Living Like an Idiot?

Ye Lin confronted Wang, the Blood Saber Butcher, and argued that the Heavenly Dao would not destroy its own world to help cultivators ascend. After Wang challenged his authority, Ye Lin overwhelmed him and demanded that he summon the leaders of the other transcendent factions, leaving Wang intimidated and more willing to comply.

  • Ye Lin berated Wang for believing the Heavenly Dao would sacrifice the Profound Yellow World to aid cultivators' ascension.
  • Wang demanded to know who else could wield the power Ye Lin described and threatened to make him pay if he could not explain.
  • Ye Lin told Wang to contact the leaders of the other transcendent factions so he could reveal the truth.
  • Wang invoked the Heavenly Constant Sect's foundation and ordered Ye Lin to leave.
  • Ye Lin unleashed his aura, made Wang tremble in agony, and threatened to slaughter the Heavenly Constant Sect if Wang disobeyed.
  • Wang softened his stance and showed that he did not want to become Ye Lin's enemy.

Ch. 1381The Summons

Ye Lin summoned the Heavenly Constant Sect’s hidden experts and showed them a ball of light containing the details of his request. The gathered figures fell silent as they considered what they had learned, leaving their decision unresolved.

  • Wang Sandao agreed to summon the hidden experts, then used golden talismans to bring them into the secret chamber.
  • The summoned figures questioned Wang Sandao, and a dragon-headed Demon Beast mocked him and threatened to seize the Heavenly Constant Sect.
  • Wang Sandao traded threats with the Demon Beast, reminding him that he had spent thirty million years at the Nine-Tribulation Loose Immortal realm.
  • A figure seated on a golden Dragon Throne demanded that Ye Lin explain why he had summoned them and warned him of the price of wasting their time.
  • Ye Lin sent out a ball of light with the details, and the summoned experts silently reviewed it, with some contacting friends on other continents.
