Ning Chuan was still immersed in the wild joy of his martial soul's transformation, his Soul Power's explosive surge, and boundless fantasies of the future. Gazing at the deep night sky beyond the window, he felt that the once-oppressive, endless darkness had now become a curtain concealing infinite possibilities.
Just as his heart surged and he planned how to make use of this Green Jade Willow Leaf Grass martial soul and his starting level-twenty Soul Power, how to cautiously yet steadfastly embark on the path of a Soul Master, the cold, mechanical notification sounded in his mind again without warning:
Stationmaster's condition stable. Initial guidance requirements met. Would the Stationmaster like to enter the Station immediately and process the daily trash?
Ning Chuan's mind jolted, and he immediately reined in his wandering thoughts, focusing all his attention.
"Enter!" he answered without hesitation.
He was filled with endless curiosity and the urge to explore this mysterious place that had granted him a new life.
Stationmaster Notice: I. Entry methods are divided into "True Body Entry" and "Spiritual Body Entry." With True Body Entry, the Stationmaster's physical body will vanish from the current world and fully descend into the Station. This allows for hands-on operation and complete sensory perception, but should unforeseeable danger arise, the physical body may also be damaged or even destroyed. With Spiritual Body Entry, a projection of consciousness descends. Most operations may be performed, and sensory perception is slightly weaker, but safety is higher. Even if the projection dissipates, only the mind will be injured; the physical body will remain unharmed. II. Trash within the Station is primarily divided into "Aged Trash" and "Current Trash." "Aged Trash" consists of objects accumulated and deposited over endless ages. It has already been preliminarily sorted and lies dormant throughout the Station, with relatively stable properties. "Current Trash" consists of fresh dumped items randomly received each day through the "Myriad Worlds Star Vortex." Its nature is unknown and its risks unpredictable, so it must be handled first. III. Processing procedure: Identified trash must be transported to the Station's designated "Decomposition and Recycling Beam" for decomposition and recycling. IV. Reward system: The Station will conduct a comprehensive evaluation based on the recycled item's material, energy level, informational value, and other factors, awarding corresponding "points." Points may be used to exchange for items in the shop—the Stationmaster has access to original-price privileges—or to pay for Station functions, such as material fusion, equipment forging, item repair, inheritance analysis, and more. V. Risk warning: Recycling carries risks. Decompose with caution! Trash from across the myriad worlds encompasses everything. It may contain unknown toxins, curses, energy radiation, active parasites, spacetime fragments, or even lingering thoughts and obsessions. Please proceed carefully under the Recycling Station's guidance! Please choose an entry method: True Body Entry, or Spiritual Body Entry?
A stream of information poured into Ning Chuan's mind, giving him a preliminary yet crucial understanding of this Heavens Trash Recycling Station.
"The risks aren't small..." Ning Chuan's gaze flickered.
Having only just gained a new life, he naturally would not take risks lightly.
"I choose Spiritual Body Entry!" Ning Chuan made the safer decision.
Command confirmed. Beginning connection... Spiritual projection transfer...
Buzz!
Ning Chuan felt his consciousness tremble lightly, as though some gentle force had "pulled" it out of his body. The scene before him instantly blurred and twisted, then transformed into a dazzling torrent of colored light that rushed backward at incredible speed.
A sensation of weightlessness came over him, as if his soul were passing through an endlessly long passage.
He did not know how much time passed. Perhaps an instant, perhaps ten thousand years.
The flowing light before him suddenly vanished, and the feeling of weightlessness faded with it.
Ning Chuan's "consciousness" stabilized. As he "looked" upon the sight before him, an indescribable shock battered the limits of his understanding!
The first thing that entered his "vision" was a slowly rotating chaotic nebula vortex so immense that words could not describe it!
It hung high above endless nothingness, its colors ever-changing: deep purple, blazing red, shadowy blue, lifeless gray...
Countless colors intertwined, flowed, and collided, radiating an ancient, vast, all-embracing yet cold and mercilessly terrifying aura.
At the vortex's center lay a bottomless abyss, as if it connected to the ends of the heavens and myriad worlds, to infinite dimensions.
Was this the Myriad Worlds Star Vortex? The outlet for trash from all heavens?
Ning Chuan's mind shook violently. Merely "watching" it made his consciousness feel as insignificant as dust, as if the vortex might swallow and assimilate him at any moment.
At that moment, he saw points of light, bright and dim, large and small, occasionally being "spat out" from the center or edges of the Chaos Star Vortex like meteors. They tore through the void and fell toward the world below.
Following the direction in which those lights fell, he "looked" down—
Ning Chuan's breath—though his spiritual body had no need to breathe—caught once more!
Before him lay an incomparably vast, boundless continent with no visible end!
The continent's composition was utterly bizarre. It was not made of soil or rock, but of countless bright and dim points of light densely piled, deposited, and compressed together! Those points of light were precisely the "trash" that had fallen from the star vortex!
Some gleamed with metallic luster, some rippled with energy, some were covered in frost, some were wrapped in black mist, and some even retained the incomplete forms of living creatures or machines...
Endless and bizarre, they stretched all the way to the limits of his vision and into the depths of the void.
The entire continent exuded an incomparably complex aura: ruin, deathly stillness, antiquity, and chaos. Yet from some corner, a faint but unmistakably powerful energy fluctuation or strange rhythm of laws would occasionally erupt without warning.
Was this the dumping ground for Aged Trash?
This scale... it was practically a world made of trash!
A final graveyard... burying the remnants of countless civilizations, the discarded shells of gods and demons, and fragments of technological creations!
As Ning Chuan stood stunned by the suffocatingly grand yet hair-raising sight, a gentle but irresistible force suddenly wrapped around his spiritual body and pulled him down toward the boundless Junk Continent below.
The speed was immense, and the surrounding scenery surged upward.
He passed through the strangely colored mist hanging over the Junk Continent—perhaps energy leakage or dust of some kind—then flew over mountain-like skeletons of unknown beasts, half-buried spaceship wreckage, swamp-like regions flowing with viscous liquid, and metallic ruins flickering with unstable electricity...
At last, the force precisely deposited him onto a solitary platform at the edge of the Junk Continent.
Tap.
Ning Chuan's "feet" touched solid ground.
Looking down, he saw that the platform covered roughly a hundred square meters. It was made of an unidentifiable dark-gray metal, cold to the touch, its surface carved with countless fine and complex silver patterns. Those patterns glowed faintly, forming a relatively stable force field that clearly separated the platform from the chaotic world of trash around it.
Within the platform's boundaries, everything was clean, orderly, and stable. The air—if there was air here—was fresh, without any strange odor or energy interference.
Outside the platform, only a stone's throw away, lay trash from the myriad worlds, dazzlingly strange, piled into mountains, and emitting all kinds of indescribable auras.
Rusty gears and crystalline skulls were heaped together. Charred book fragments covered some kind of pulsating biological tissue. Broken swords and blades were lodged beside dried-up pools of multicolored energy...
An indescribable sense of decay, chaos, and danger surged toward him from beyond the platform.
Ning Chuan stood at the platform's edge, as if he were standing on the boundary between civilization and ruins, order and chaos.
He looked back at the Chaos Star Vortex high overhead, slowly rotating and continuously spewing out new trash. Then he looked at the boundless trash graveyard before him, deathly still yet concealing life, and finally felt the small, sole safe platform beneath his feet.
A realization rose within him.
This place was both a land of endless danger and a land of endless treasures.
And his work as the new Stationmaster of the Heavens Trash Recycling Station was about to begin.
