Breakthrough of the 890,000-year bottleneck; initial bloodline evolution 28 Eats Void Earth-Armored Dragon dung containing earth- and fire-elemental energy. His black scales acquire a dark-gold sheen; his cultivation surges toward higher thresholds.
Million-year divine beast 33 Licks several drops of purple fruit juice awarded by Tiancezi. His cultivation rises from a stated 890,000 years to one million years.
Void-dragon evolution — five-star Dou Zong; cultivation reaches 1.5 million years 41 Absorbs the diluted Dragon Transformation Pool’s essence over three hours. Its Ancient Void Dragon energy assimilates his original bloodline, granting power described as surpassing Douluo’s Dragon God.
Purple Gold Void Flood Dragon — three consecutive level breakthroughs 46 Secretly eats the elders’ mounts’ high-grade fodder, including Red Flame Dragon Fruit. Possesses partial authority over the void, but is explicitly not a pure-blooded Ancient Void Dragon.
Void Devouring Demon Dragon — new species 47 48 Consumes Half-Saint bone residue obtained from Xuyun’s tomb. His bones and meridians are reforged, and his original dragon foundation combines with Ancient Void Dragon bloodline power. No new Dou Qi rank is specified.

Background / History

Beast God of the Star Dou Forest

Di Tian resides near the Lake of Life and serves the Silver Dragon King, Gu Yuena. She identifies him as the guardian who accompanied her awakening and inherited the Dragon God’s Dragon King Claw. On Douluo, his authority commands the submission of countless beasts, while even human Limit Douluos must acknowledge his standing 17 27.

The Sky Screen exposes the limits of that standing. He initially suspects that a white-robed human’s spatial control and energy exceed his own power. Later, watching Heiqing dismantle Yu Yuanzhen’s dragon martial soul, Di Tian falls from the sky and prostrates himself: the higher-dimensional dragon might suppresses him even across planes 13 17.

Defeat and Forced Labor

Despite his earlier fear, Di Tian accepts his selection for interdimensional travel with renewed confidence. He vows to obtain justice for Er Ming’s humiliation and defend the dignity of the dragon race as the Dragon God’s “claw and tooth” 25.

Arriving in the Ancient Void Dragon Clan’s territory, he releases an eight-hundred-meter black-dragon form and challenges its dragons. Heiqing defeats him, uses him as a whip, and drags him to the sub-dragon enclosure. There, Di Tian is assigned to shovel dung under threat of being butchered and fed to the livestock 26 27.

A Void Earth-Armored Dragon’s kick leaves him badly injured in a dung pile. Contact with the dung’s earth-elemental energy begins repairing his shattered bones. Realizing that the waste contains energy purer than the Lake of Life’s water, he chooses cultivation over disgust and eats it to break his bottleneck 27 28.

Divine Beast and Reserve Dragon Guard

Di Tian serves at the Dragon Emperor Festival, where even discarded appetizers appear priceless to him. The clash surrounding the three Dragon Kings’ coup attempt leaves him severely injured by incidental pressure alone 32.

After Tiancezi intervenes, the Heavenly Palace elder awards him a few spilled drops of purple fruit juice. Di Tian immediately licks them up and becomes a million-year divine beast. His breakthrough provokes shock among Douluo’s soul beasts and intense jealousy from the Deep Sea Demon Whale King 33.

He subsequently receives permission to enter an outer, diluted Dragon Transformation Pool intended for hatchlings. After his bloodline is reforged, he accepts a Reserve Dragon Guard position with enthusiasm. His duties are to patrol the Void Lightning Pool’s periphery and feed the elders’ mounts; he initially hopes to bring leftover feed home so the Star Dou Forest can conquer the God Realm 41.

Half-Saint Tomb Expedition

While feeding mounts, Di Tian secretly consumes their fodder and advances further. Gu Li recruits him for a four-person expedition to a Half-Saint dragon’s tomb, where Di Tian proves particularly adept at navigating spatial turbulence and locating concealed resources 46.

Inside the tomb, he destroys a one-star Dou Zun guarding puppet by striking its soul node from the shadows. A Soul Hall ambush then immobilizes the party and nearly kills him, until Elder Zhuhuo intervenes. Di Tian receives bone fragments and marrow residue from Half-Saint Xuyun’s remains 47.

After consuming the residue, Di Tian evolves into a Void Devouring Demon Dragon. Testing his new body in the void, he rejects the prospect of returning to Douluo and tells Gu Yuena to remain at the “bottom of that well.” She recognizes that her formerly obedient subordinate has become an existence she must look up to 47 48.

Appearance

Original Form

  • Dragon body: A massive black dragon with golden eyes; described as over a hundred meters long at the Lake of Life and eight hundred meters long when challenging the Ancient Void Dragons 17 26.
  • Aura: Darkness and destruction surround his strongest Golden-Eyed Black Dragon King form 26.
  • Human attire: Wears a black-gold robe associated with his Beast God status; it is reduced to tatters after his defeat 26.

Reforged Forms

  • Purple Gold Void Flood Dragon: Develops sharper spatial-rending claws, hardened scales, and purple vertical pupils. His hair is purple-gold before the final evolution 46 47.
  • Final human form: Bewitchingly handsome features, cold pale skin resembling void crystal, and silver hair with black flames burning at its tips 47.
  • Void Demon Eyes: Completely black eyes without visible whites, marked by silver cross-shaped fissures in their pupils 47.
  • Final dragon body: A slender, powerful creature measuring a thousand zhang, covered in obsidian-like crystalline scales with sharp silver edges 48.
  • Wings, claws, and horn: Three pairs of void-storm wings replace his bat-like wings. Purple-gold hooked claws carry black destructive lightning, while a spiral silver horn bears the prototype of a miniature black hole 48.

Personality

Di Tian begins as a proud ruler fiercely protective of dragon dignity. Even after witnessing the Ancient Void Dragons’ superiority, he enters their territory believing he can demand justice and assert his status as a true dragon 17 25 26.

His humiliating defeat reveals a more pragmatic and relentless side. He tolerates menial work, consumes dung, licks spilled juice, and eagerly accepts a low-ranking guard post when these offer real advancement. He treats his new circumstances as an opportunity to study abroad rather than an exile 28 33 41.

His loyalty changes as his power grows. Initially, he intends to use the clan’s leftovers to strengthen Gu Yuena’s followers. Following his final evolution, that ambition becomes personal: he chooses permanent residence in the higher-dimensional world and dismisses his former homeland as a confined, inferior existence 41 48.

Abilities & Skills

Dragon King Claw and Original Dragon Power

  • Inherits the Dragon God’s Dragon King Claw, as confirmed by Gu Yuena 27.
  • His original dragon phantom exerts pressure sufficient to suffocate a Titled Douluo 13.
  • These advantages do not protect him from Ancient Void Dragon bloodline suppression or the physical strength of their fifth-rank livestock 17 27.

Void and Spatial Manipulation

  • After bloodline reforging, tears through space with his claws and demonstrates spatial disruption with casual movements 41 46.
  • Following his final evolution, an exhaled breath becomes a spatial blade that opens a persistent rift 47.
  • His void-storm wings disturb and shatter surrounding space; his final dragon form destroys meteorites with casual movements 48.
  • Before that final evolution, a Dou Zun opponent’s spatial imprisonment completely immobilizes him and stops his Dou Qi circulation 47.

Nether Shadow Clone, Void Backstab

  • Merges into surrounding shadows and emerges from the tomb puppet’s own shadow 47.
  • Delivers a precise strike to the soul node at the base of its spine, destroying a one-star Dou Zun puppet despite the party’s lower cultivation 47.
  • Gu Li recognizes the attack as evidence of exceptional combat awareness and stealth, rather than the luck Di Tian claims 47.

Void Navigation and Resource Detection

  • Detects spatial folding that reveals the tomb entrance 46.
  • Identifies poisonous Void Thunder Beast dung and locates seventh-rank Dragon Blood Grass hidden inside a floating meteorite 46.
  • Leads the expedition through turbulent void currents, earning the narration’s “Gold-Touching Captain” designation 46.

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Purple Gold Void Dragon Armor — Worn following his Dragon Transformation Pool reforging 41 46.
  • Black iron Reserve Dragon Guard token — Marks his appointment; he carefully hangs it at his waist 41.
  • Sixth-tier magic-core broadsword — Obtained by trading Deep Sea Heavy Silver and used to destroy the tomb puppet. A Soul Hall Protector later shatters it with a finger flick 46 47.
  • Silver soul core — Awarded by Gu Li for defeating the puppet; considered exchangeable for several sixth-tier medicinal pills despite its impurities 47.

Relationships

  • Gu Yuena — Original sovereign and longtime charge. He initially hopes to return with resources for her followers, but later declares that he will remain in the higher-dimensional world 27 41 48.
  • Heiqing — Defeats and humiliates Di Tian upon arrival, then sends him into forced labor at the sub-dragon enclosure 26.
  • Tiancezi — Benefactor whose spilled fruit juice enables Di Tian’s divine-beast breakthrough; Di Tian responds with repeated kowtows and thanks 33.
  • Gu Li — Patrol guard and expedition leader who recruits him for tomb raiding and rewards his successful attack with the puppet’s soul core 46 47.
  • Gu Meng and Gu Ling — Fellow members of the four-person tomb expedition 47.
  • Elder Zhuhuo — Saves the expedition from Soul Hall attackers and permits the party to collect Half-Saint remains 47.
  • Xiong Jun — Formerly seeks to challenge Di Tian’s authority; after witnessing his evolution, becomes terrified of his overwhelming superiority 27 41.
  • Scarlet King / Chi Wang — His determination earns the mastiff’s admiration, while his later guard position and evolution inspire envy 28 41.

Trivia

  • The cultivation figures are not entirely consistent: Chapter 28 depicts him breaking the 890,000-year bottleneck, Chapter 33 again begins at 890,000 years, and Chapter 41’s transformation sequence begins at 990,000 years despite his earlier million-year breakthrough 28 33 41.
  • A later scene again depicts Di Tian in seclusion with golden eyes, urgently reacting when Gu Yuena is attacked, despite his earlier silver-black-eyed evolution and declaration that he would not return 47 48 62.
