Background and History

Tang Chen founded the Clear Sky Sect and became one of the Douluo Continent's strongest figures, holding the title of Rank 99 Ultimate Douluo. He also ruled the Capital of Slaughter as its King of Slaughter. Despite pursuing Bo Saixi throughout his life, he had vowed to marry her only after becoming a god. 57 85

While watching the Sky Screen, Tang Chen witnessed Tang Hao's arms and Clear Sky Hammer being shattered, Ah Yin being restored to her plant form and burned in a furnace, and Tang San being taken to the Soul Hall. Enraged by the harm done to his descendants, he demanded cross-world travel to seek vengeance against the Seventh Elder and the Yao Clan. 85

The Sky Screen System classified his request as “actively seeking death” and transported him to the Misty Cloud Sect. His full-power Clear Sky Hammer strike could not damage the sect's stone stele, while Elder Yun Leng's pressure made his Soul Power circulate sluggishly. Tang Chen is fiercely proud, violent when provoked, and intensely protective of his bloodline. The suffering of Tang Hao, Ah Yin, and Tang San drives him to challenge an unfamiliar higher world despite the overwhelming disparity in power. 85

His pride does not prevent him from adapting. After realizing that Yun Leng could kill him effortlessly, he suppresses his anger, lies about being a village blacksmith, and accepts humiliating work in order to learn Dou Qi and eventually pursue revenge. 86

He possesses extraordinary endurance and resolve. Rather than preserve his former Rank 99 cultivation, Tang Chen willingly destroys his Soul Power and soul rings when they obstruct his ability to cultivate Dou Qi. 88 89
