Ch. 326"Humans, shall we make a deal?"

Sui Bian arrived at Fenris with reinforcements and destroyed Poseidon, the Olympian gods, and the demons with a Psionic Blast before killing Zeus. After claiming Zeus’s power, he found himself confronted by the Chaos Gods, and Tzeentch asked him to make a deal.

  • Russ fought Poseidon while Zeus watched the demons overwhelm the human forces.
  • A Portal opened above Fenris, bringing Sui Bian, the Dark Angels, Thutmose’s forces, and human warships to reinforce the defenders.
  • Sui Bian destroyed Poseidon, the Olympian gods, the demons, and the Warp beings with a Psionic Blast, closing the rifts around Fenris.
  • Sui Bian killed the weakened Zeus, who had regained his sanity and accepted death as atonement for his crimes.
  • After claiming Zeus’s Psionic Power, Sui Bian entered a frozen darkness and faced the Chaos Gods, where Tzeentch proposed a deal.

Ch. 327A Deal That Could Go to Hell, and the Aftermath

Sui Bian rejected the Chaos Gods’ proposed deal, defeated Zeus, and helped end the Warp Storm before leading the effort to purify the colonized planets. A month and a half later, the Oslo Sector was rebuilding after a final death toll of 7,232,241,414.

  • Sui Bian struck at Slaanesh to reject the Chaos Gods’ offer, then claimed Thunder and the other Fallen Gods’ weapons after killing Zeus.
  • Sui Bian praised Russ for holding off the Olympian Gods, and reinforcements arrived as the Portal collapsed and Fenris’s survivors received medical care.
  • Sui Bian comforted the wounded paratroopers, while the Chaos Gods’ retreat ended the Fenris campaign and the Warp Storm began to recede.
  • Sui Bian and Magnus traveled between colonized planets to purify them, while Russ, the Red Queen, and the White Queen coordinated the Oslo Sector’s recovery.
  • On July 15, 2102, the Red Queen reported the final death toll, and the White Queen briefed Sui Bian on reconstruction, relief, and compensation efforts.

Ch. 328"The Age of the Gods Is Over" "Sarah, Beat Him Up!"

Sui Bian honored the 7.2 billion people killed in the war and revealed his identity as the Primarchs’ father and humanity’s Guardian. Three days later, Artemis mourned Zeus while delivering the Trident for reforging, and the chapter ended with Sarah facing Jason in an Astartes gym.

  • Sui Bian received the reconstruction update for Kaplan, Magenmo, and Herkis, then joined Russ and Magnus at Fenris’s Central Plaza.
  • Sui Bian announced the final death toll of 7,232,241,414, praised those who had fought to protect civilians, and promised to reveal the Psyker who had aided humanity.
  • The UEG and Umbrella publicly identified Sui Bian as the Primarchs’ father and the Guardian who had protected planets including Arcadia and Fenris.
  • Artemis visited the ruins of Zeus’s temple in Athens, reflected on her father’s death, and left after declaring that the age of the gods was over.
  • Artemis delivered the Trident to Hephaestus for reforging at Russ’s request, while Sui Bian assigned the other recovered weapons to Primarchs and warriors.
  • A crowd of Astartes watched Sarah challenge Jason in a gym cabin and urged her to beat him up.

Ch. 329Fighting, Drinking, and the Trial

On her eighteenth birthday, Sarah Kerrigan asked to join the Space Wolves as an Auxilia member, and Genro Sigurd agreed to support her while assigning her to the Astartes recruit trial. Sarah received the silver sword Starlight and prepared to travel to the Solar System for the trial, while Sui Bian arranged for Alexia and Rebecca to handle the preparations.

  • Sarah Kerrigan won a sparring match against a Wild Wolf, and the Wolves carried her to their tavern to celebrate her eighteenth birthday with a drink.
  • Genro Sigurd interrupted the celebration and took Sarah to his office, where she told him she wanted to fight alongside the Space Wolves as an Auxilia member.
  • Genro gave Sarah the silver sword Starlight and told her that her superiors had agreed to assign her to the 13th Battalion if she took part in the Astartes recruit trial.
  • Genro explained that Sarah would travel aboard the Ice Wolf to the Solar System after reaching Fenris, and Sarah promised to do well in the trial.
  • Sui Bian learned that Sarah would enter the trial and told the White Queen to notify Alexia and Rebecca to make arrangements.

Ch. 330Homeworlds, Gentlemen and Ladies

Sui Bian attended a university opening on the Shield World Legler as humanity advanced its celestial construction projects, while Sarah Kerrigan prepared to leave Fenris for the Solar System. At a memorial to the Fallen Gods war dead, Sarah met Leon and Ada, who recognized her potential as an intelligence operative.

  • Sui Bian reflected on Sarah Kerrigan's exceptional psionic abilities and Nova's assignment to observe her before greeting Principal Li and addressing the university's students.
  • Humanity's Shield World Legler hosted its first Colonizers near Earth and Luna, while work continued on future Homeworld flagships.
  • Sarah left Fenris aboard the Ice Wolf as the 13th Battalion delivered G-Glands to Luna Base and prepared for her journey to the Solar System.
  • Sarah visited her parents' graves at Fenris's memorial plaza, where Leon advised her not to feel guilty about living well and Ada watched with interest.
  • Leon told Ada that Sarah seemed suited to become an intelligence operative, and Ada hurried away after he began inviting her to dinner.

Ch. 331Live Combat, Barbecue, and Humanoid Xenos

Sarah Kerrigan fought a giant python during the Astartes recruits’ jungle survival trial, then rushed to the base when an unknown fleet arrived and the trial was canceled. She joined three recruits battling humanoid xenos at a crash site and helped wipe out the attackers, leaving the group examining one of the alien bodies.

  • Sarah drew water from a lake, killed a giant python with her spear and Starlight Sword, and took its meat and hide.
  • Nova observed Sarah’s fight and reported to the Commander that Sarah showed strong courage, reflexes, self-control, and little combat experience.
  • That night, Sarah spotted an unknown fleet entering the atmosphere and received a notice canceling the trial and ordering the recruits to return to base.
  • Sarah followed the signs of a crashed xeno transport and found three recruits fighting humanoid xenos in yellow Power Armor.
  • Sarah released a silver-flash wave with the Starlight Sword, killing the xenos and rescuing the recruits.
  • One recruit pried open a xeno’s helmet, revealing its bluish-purple face without a nose bridge.

Ch. 332The Tau'opu Empire and a Second Expedition

Nova met Sarah Kerrigan and became her Psionic Power mentor after a T'au Empire force attacked Prehistoric Planet. Sui Bian ordered Roger, Robert, and Lion to lead an expedition against the attackers and the wider T'au Empire, while Umbrella prepared to make the campaign public.

  • Nova appeared at the crashed transport, introduced herself to Sarah Kerrigan, and offered to mentor her in Psionic Power.
  • The base's defenses shielded it from bombardment as Xenos attacked Prehistoric Planet, while Red Queen reported that 414 enemy ships had taken the space station.
  • Sui Bian identified the attackers as the Ti'opu, which Red Queen and White Queen believed belonged to the T'au Empire, and ordered Roger to send elite troops to Prehistoric Planet.
  • Red Queen proposed sending the Ultramarines from the Ultima Segmentum, and Sui Bian ordered Robert to lead them and a UNSC fleet through the Warp Rift.
  • Sui Bian ordered Lion to take the Dark Angels on the expedition and told White Queen to publicly announce the T'au Empire's attack.

Ch. 333"Who Fights a War Like This?" and Green Skin

Nova and Sarah returned to the Space Gate base while Roger led the defense against the T'au fleet, destroying a large part of it and forcing the survivors to flee. After the battle, Nova told Roger that the T'au were refugees escaping green-skinned Orks who had seized their home system and colonies.

  • Nova and Sarah led the Astartes recruits through the jungle, where Sarah used the Starlight Sword to cut down two T'au mechs attacking their group.
  • Nova and Sarah reached the base, and Nova spotted Roger's God Body rising beyond the shield with Honor Fist Centurions.
  • Roger used Psionic Power to turn the T'au fleet's missiles back on its ships, then destroyed more vessels with the God Body's weapons and shield.
  • Roger and the Centurions overwhelmed the fleet, and the surviving T'au ships fled beyond the planet's gravitational range.
  • The T'au ground forces withdrew from the base, and Nova explained to Roger that green-skinned Orks had taken their home system and half their colonies.

Ch. 334Waaagh!!

After Nova reported what she learned about the T'au and the Orks, Sui Bian ordered the expedition to clear the T'au from the Prehistoric Planet while preparing reinforcements in case the Orks proved dangerous. Nova then led Sarah and Astartes recruits into a planet-wide sweep, beginning their approach to a native settlement where T'au forces had gathered.

  • Nova told Roger that the T'au exploited weaker peoples and described the Orks' rapid reproduction, physical strength, and strange warships.
  • Roger agreed to clear the T'au from the Prehistoric Planet and sent Nova's interrogation findings to Sui Bian, who ordered Robert and Lion to continue their plans and told Sanguinius and Corax to prepare as possible reinforcements.
  • Sui Bian considered the danger posed by the Orks' Waaagh and Believe Field and planned for the expedition to test them while also locating the Velin.
  • Nova offered Sarah a place with the Ghost Operatives, but Sarah chose to join the Wild Wolf Legion as an Auxilia trooper.
  • Nova led Sarah and two squads of Astartes recruits aboard an Attack Craft as a large aerial fleet set out to sweep the planet and attack a settlement where T'au forces had gathered.

Ch. 335"The Gods Descended"

Astartes recruits and Ghosts led by Nova and Sarah destroyed the T'au force attacking an indigenous town and rescued its residents. After seven Earth days of hunting T'au remnants, the recruits learned that the entire Expeditionary Force had arrived.

  • T'au soldiers massacred indigenous residents in a coastal town until a new Astartes recruit crushed a mech, killed the soldiers nearby, and soothed a woman's baby with a Bolter casing.
  • More than a hundred Astartes recruits swept through the town, while Nova and Sarah helped encircle the main T'au force and destroy its vehicles with Psionic Power.
  • Nova's company wiped out the T'au force in less than half an hour, and technicians used Xeno acid to destroy its equipment and corpses.
  • The indigenous survivors bowed as Nova, Sarah, and the others flew away; Sarah reflected on how the locals might see them as gods.
  • Under Roger's direction, Nova, Sarah, and more than five thousand recruits hunted T'au remnants for seven Earth days before learning the entire Expeditionary Force had arrived.

Ch. 336Reunion and Ruin

Robert, Lion, and Roger reunited on the Prehistoric Planet and divided the expedition’s duties before the fleet attacked the T'au Empire. Lion’s force reached the T'au homeworld, destroyed its space fortress, and prepared to announce the planet’s destruction.

  • Robert reunited with Lion and Roger, then explained that Sui Bian had appointed him Warmaster and that four Stellar Bombs had been sent for the expedition.
  • Robert assigned Roger and the Iron Fists to defend the Prehistoric Planet and its supply lines, while Lion and Robert would attack the T'au Empire and approach the Velin settlements respectively.
  • After the fleet finished resupplying, Lion led twenty-seven warships toward the T'au home system, while Robert took another force toward a Velin system.
  • Lion's fleet emerged from the Warp near the T'au homeworld, and the Anthem of Courage rammed through the defending space fortress.
  • Lion ordered the bomber squadrons to prepare Nova-class Nuclear Missiles and opened a public channel to announce the homeworld's destruction.

Ch. 337"Gifts" and "The Moon"

Lion destroyed the T'au homeworld with two Nova-III bombs and ordered the Dark Angels fleet to support the expedition at the 045 Star System. Robert's Ultramarines arrived there to find a planet under attack and identified the enemy's scrap-built mothership as a Battle Moon.

  • Lion broadcast a declaration to the T'au and ordered the Dark Angels to attack their homeworld and fleet.
  • Two bomber squadrons dropped Nova-III bombs on the planet's poles, devastating its surface and killing hundreds of millions of T'au.
  • Most of the T'au fleet fled, while Lion's ships destroyed the remaining vessels defending the homeworld.
  • Lion reported the initial objective complete and ordered his fleet to head to the 045 Star System to support the expedition.
  • Robert's fleet emerged from the Warp near a planet whose orbital defenses had fallen to a bizarre fleet led by a scrap-built mothership, which he called a Battle Moon.

Ch. 338"Believe Field"

Robert led the human fleet and Ultramarines in an assault on an Ork fleet commanded by a Battle Moon, while realizing the Orks’ Believe Field let them imitate weapons they had seen. As Jacob Keyes’s flanking ships joined the battle, Robert broke into the twice-damaged Battle Moon and detonated a grenade inside.

  • Robert ordered the fleet to prepare for battle and directed Jacob Keyes to lead the attack on the Battle Moon.
  • Alpha, Charlie, and Kali squadrons launched from the Dawn Guardian as the main fleet formed up to engage the Orks.
  • Robert and the Invicti led the assault, while human warships fired their main guns and battered the Ork fleet; the Battle Moon’s barrier reduced the damage and Tech-Orks rapidly repaired it.
  • The Orks fired a massive energy beam that destroyed Viking Fighters and fatally damaged a Gorgon-class ship, and Robert recognized it as an imitation enabled by the Orks’ Believe Field.
  • Ten human warships emerged from warp on the Ork fleet’s flank and joined Keyes’s crossfire as Robert reached the Battle Moon.
  • Robert smashed through the Battle Moon’s barrier and hull, entered its interior, and detonated a grenade.

Ch. 339The Daughter of the Ancestors and the Ork Boss

Robert destroyed the Orks’ Battle Moon and helped the Ultramarines seize Otieno’s orbit, then sent forces to aid the surviving Velin. As the Helljumpers and Astartes descended, an enormous Ork boss broke through Classical City’s defenses.

  • Robert detonated a Plasma Bomb that destroyed the Battle Moon and its Orks, then resumed firing on the Ork fleet.
  • Robert and Case defeated the Ork fleet, though the Ultramarines lost four ships and suffered casualties when the Waaagh field disabled their shields.
  • Robert divided the fleet among six surviving Velin zones and ordered ground forces to assist the inhabitants and gather intelligence.
  • Carlos Oliveira led the Helljumpers in drop pods toward Otieno alongside Astartes and troop transports.
  • The Velin fought Orks at Classical City while waiting for the prophesied reinforcements.
  • A seven-meter-tall Ork boss unleashed a Psionic shockwave that brought down the city’s southern walls and shield.

Ch. 340The Clash of Fire and Green "The Firstborn Son of the Master of Mankind"

The Orks overran Otieno’s defenses, forcing Philsos and the Otieno People to defend the palace until human reinforcements arrived. Robert and the Invicti intervened against the Ork Boss, leaving Yvraine to watch him fight in her father’s place.

  • The Orks broke through the southern wall and barrier, driving Otieno’s defenders and civilians back to the palace.
  • Yvraine told Philsos that humans would come to their aid, and Philsos led his knights and soldiers out to hold back the Orks while Yvraine restored a barrier around the palace.
  • Human drop pods crashed into the battlefield, and Carlos, the Carcharodons, the Ultramarines, and arriving Auxilia attacked the Orks.
  • Philsos fought the Ork Boss, which battered him with its hammer while treating the battle as a game.
  • Robert and fifty Invicti teleported into the city, and Robert blocked the Ork Boss’s hammer with the Sword of Flame.
  • Yvraine watched Robert face the Ork Boss and called him the Firstborn Son of the Master of Mankind.

Ch. 341Reason, Interests and Survival, and the Boss and the Kaiju

Robert defeated the Ork Boss on Otieno, secured Yvraine and the Otieno People’s agreement to evacuate, and worried that the Orks were stronger than expected. A month later, Sui Bian reviewed reports and focused on the threat of thirty-six Ork Bosses and a War Beast.

  • The Invicti disrupted the Orks’ Waaagh field while Robert killed the Ork Boss with the Sword of Flame, forcing the surviving Orks to flee.
  • Yvraine thanked Robert, agreed to cooperate with humanity, and persuaded Philsos and the Otieno People to evacuate Otieno.
  • Robert told Titus that the Otieno People were rational allies whose choices depended on their interests and survival, then called for more reinforcements.
  • Robert, Titus, and the Invicti teleported away after arranging the evacuation of the Otieno People.
  • A month later, Sui Bian reviewed the expedition’s reports, including the occupation of most of the T’au Empire, and focused on thirty-six Ork Bosses and one War Beast.

Ch. 342"Normal Feelings" and "Relics of the Old Ones"

Sui Bian ordered reinforcements for Robert’s campaign against the expanding Ork Empire, while Yvraine revealed that the Ork tide might be connected to a relic of the Old Ones. The chapter ended as Robert considered the possible source of the Orks’ power.

  • Sui Bian reviewed the Ork threat and arranged for Sanguinius, Corax, Angron, their Legions, and UNSC fleets to reinforce Robert at Prehistoric Planet.
  • Sui Bian ordered the Red and White Queens to alert the Primarchs and inform the public about the Ork threat, then told the White Queen to have the Plague Doctor continue studying existing Ork samples.
  • At the Expeditionary Force’s border position, Lion reflected on reuniting with his brothers while Robert, Nova, Case, Carlos, and Yvraine studied the Ork Empire’s territory.
  • Yvraine pointed toward the Ork Empire’s apparent capital and told Robert that the Ork tide seemed to originate from a relic of the Old Ones.

Ch. 343Shield World—Kaiju and a Thousand Ships Unleashed

Robert learned that the Orks had made a Custodian Shield World their capital and prepared defenses while awaiting reinforcements. Nine days later, a human fleet launched a surprise assault on the Ork stronghold, leaving two Battle Planets engulfed in an enormous explosion.

  • Yvraine told Robert that the Old Ones had fought Chaos and that their relic was a metal planet thousands of kilometers across.
  • Robert ordered Nova and Sarah Kerrigan to relocate, sent Lion and the Dark Angels to reinforce the 145th system, and assigned defenses until reinforcements arrived.
  • At system 179, the Orks gathered around the Shield World, where Kaiju Ulan recalled the Bosses because he sensed humans were coming.
  • More than ten thousand human warships emerged from blue Warp exits and opened fire before the Orks could react.
  • The human fleet destroyed twelve Battle Moons and bombarded two Battle Planets, producing a vast explosion.

Ch. 344"Humans Are So Damn Dishonorable!" and "Plunder and Conquest"

Robert’s expeditionary force destroyed two Ork Battle Planets, then used a feigned retreat to draw most of the Ork defenses away from the Shield World’s exposed left flank. Corax and three hundred Shadows landed near its northern gate to infiltrate the Hollow Earth and seize control.

  • Human missiles and two Stellar Bombs annihilated the Orks’ two most threatening Battle Planets, and the expeditionary fleet launched its assault.
  • Sanguinius destroyed a Battle Moon with a Psionic Arrow while the four Primarchs and more than a thousand Centurions combined their powers to repel the Orks’ Waaagh field.
  • Robert ordered Sanguinius to test a transport carrying a War Beast, and the War Beast survived the arrow’s blast before Robert’s force began a planned retreat.
  • The Orks pursued the retreating humans, leaving the Shield World’s left flank exposed as Corax’s detached force arrived and attacked the remaining Battle Moons and fleet.
  • Corax left Admiral Chris Redfield to command the space battle, then teleported with three hundred Shadows to the Shield World’s northern gate.

Ch. 345"One-Click Erasure"

Corax led the Shadows to the Shield World's control room and ordered its Custodian Memory Storage Unit to eliminate every Ork on the surface and in the star system. The defenses erased the Orks and their fleet, leaving the human Expeditionary Force victorious.

  • Saldo, Mande, and Fini led nearly ten thousand Angry Boyz into the fortress, unaware that Corax had infiltrated it and planted miniature Plasma Bombs.
  • Corax killed Saldo with the Claws of Blood, then the bombs destroyed the fortress as the Shadows advanced and finished off the surviving Orks.
  • Corax took the elevator to the Hollow Earth, teleported to the Pyramid, and reached the Custodian Memory Storage Unit with three hundred Shadows.
  • Corax ordered the Memory Storage Unit to destroy all Orks, including buried spores and the fleet, and confirmed that it should proceed.
  • The Shield World's surface burned beneath boiling magma, while its Matrix Beams destroyed the Ork fleet, Ulan the Kaiju, and the eighteen Ork Bosses.
