This is a small square-like tomb chamber, circular in shape, with several stone pillars carved with ancient patterns. The pillars are cross-shaped, each bearing a statue of a deity, with a black iron chain emerging from the deity's mouth. These chains connect to the Goddess's Coffin at the center.
At the center of the tomb chamber's square, inside a circular bronze mechanism, the body of Princess Augu of the Khitan Kingdom from over a thousand years ago lies quietly, as if in slumber.
Around the circular coffin, there are also three grotesque demon-like deity statues. Each statue is missing a piece from its forehead. Xiao Hen looks closely and realizes that the foreheads of these three statues hold the mechanism to open the coffin.
Ying Caihong suppresses her inner excitement and takes out the three Bronze Emblems.
Hu Bayi's eyes flicker, and he says in a low voice, "These three Bronze Emblems are the keys to open the coffin, right?"
"Correct!" Ying Caihong nods, lets out a cold laugh, and hands the three Bronze Emblems to Hu Bayi. "The keys are yours. Go ahead, open the coffin, and do what you're good at."
Hu Bayi gives her a cold look, takes the three keys, and begins to move.
Grappling hooks, climbing gear, and most importantly, lighting a candle in the southeast corner of the tomb chamber—a tradition of the Mojin Xiaowei.
After lighting the candle, the three exchange glances, then smile. Each takes out their Mojin Talisman and puts it on. They clasp hands together and whisper, "Mojin Xiaowei, together we live, apart we die."
Xiao Hen's eyes fix on the ground beneath their feet. There's a trap here. As the Goddess's Coffin opens, the floor will crack and collapse. But in the movie, the three make it through with some close calls.
Big Gold Tooth grins beside Ying Caihong. "See? That's the real Mojin style."
Hu Bayi and the others spread out, each standing before a deity statue. Slowly, they press the keys into the statues' foreheads. The pieces fit, and the keys turn.
Creak...
The circular bronze coffin emits a mechanical sound, then unfolds like a lotus flower, revealing the body of Princess Augu inside.
Princess Augu's body looks lifelike, her face covered by a golden horned mask, dressed in a splendid gold-and-red robe, lying peacefully on the lotus platform. The round disc held between her hands on her chest draws everyone's gaze.
"Flower of the Other Shore..." Ying Caihong murmurs in a low, drawn-out voice, her body trembling slightly as she walks forward slowly.
Just then, the candle in the southeast corner of the tomb chamber begins to flicker, nearly going out.
Xiao Hen wants to rush forward and snatch the Flower of the Other Shore, but the flickering candle makes him pause. He then reaches out to block Ying Caihong's path.
"What do you think you're doing?" Ying Caihong snaps, pulling out a gun and pointing it at Xiao Hen.
"Danger ahead!" Xiao Hen says in a low voice. "Put your gun away!"
"Yoko..." Ying Caihong gives the order, and Yoko steps forward, ready to act.
Boom!
The entire circular floor around the coffin collapses. Hu Bayi and the other two fall into the pit.
Ying Caihong and the others were startled, then turned to look at Xiao Hen, their hearts pounding. If not for his intervention, most of them would have died.
Xiao Hen's eyes lock onto the Flower of the Other Shore on the goddess's body. The main mission is about to be completed.
Stepping along the edge of the collapse, Xiao Hen carefully moves toward the coffin. Ying Caihong watches him, her eyes shifting, but she doesn't dare risk going for the Flower of the Other Shore herself.
"Yoko..." Ying Caihong can only rely on Yoko now.
"Mm!" Yoko nods and prepares to head to the coffin to snatch the Flower of the Other Shore.
Xiao Hen follows the edge to a toppled cross-shaped deity statue. This statue has a black iron chain connecting to the Goddess's Coffin at the center. Xiao Hen steps onto the chain, ready to head to the central coffin, but out of the corner of his eye, he sees Hu Bayi and the others hanging precariously midair after their fall.
Xiao Hen glances at the Flower of the Other Shore in the coffin, then at Hu Bayi and the others dangling in the air. After a brief thought, he reaches behind him, pulls out a rope, and throws it down. "Grab the rope!"
Xiao Hen shouts loudly, and Hu Bayi and the others below hear him clearly.
Wang Kaixuan is higher up and grabs the rope first. Xiao Hen pulls hard, hand over hand, hauling Wang Kaixuan up with little effort.
"This guy's got some strength!" Wang Kaixuan laughs, patting Xiao Hen on the shoulder.
"Let's get the other two up first." Xiao Hen smiles faintly and throws the rope down again.
Hu Bayi and Shirley Yang are stuck midair with no way forward. When Xiao Hen's rope comes down, Shirley Yang, clinging to Hu Bayi, quickly wraps it tightly around both of them.
Xiao Hen pulls with both hands, and the two begin to rise.
Wang Kaixuan wants to help, but seeing Xiao Hen lift them up effortlessly, his eyes nearly pop out in shock.
Hu Bayi and the others finally make it up from the edge. They look at Xiao Hen and smile. "Thanks, friend."
"No problem."
Since they're all up now, it's time to take the Flower of the Other Shore.
Xiao Hen turns toward the coffin, but his face immediately turns cold.
At the coffin, Yoko has already sneaked along the chain from the other side to the goddess's body, reaching for the Flower of the Other Shore.
"Looking for death!"
At this point, Xiao Hen stops hiding. He kicks off the ground, his body springing forward, leaping several meters in one bound to land at the central coffin.
"Whoa..."
"That... that jump..."
Big Gold Tooth and Wang Kaixuan exclaim in shock. Hu Bayi is also startled, watching Xiao Hen lunge toward Yoko and the Flower of the Other Shore in her hand.
A cold glint flashes in Xiao Hen's eyes. He flips his hand, producing a dagger. With a flick of his right wrist, the dagger flies out and stabs into the back of Yoko's right hand as it reaches for the Flower of the Other Shore.
"Ah..." Yoko cries out in pain, glaring viciously at Xiao Hen.
"Heh!" Xiao Hen lets out a cold laugh. To prevent any mishaps with the Flower of the Other Shore, he's been going along with the plot the whole way. He's held back long enough. Now, he doesn't have to anymore.
With a flick of his wrist, a pistol appeared in his hand, and he fired at Yoko without hesitation. Xiao Hen's marksmanship was dead accurate; the bullet flew, and a hole appeared in Yoko's forehead.
"You..." Yoko's body tilted backward. She tried to speak but couldn't get the words out, then plunged into the abyss.
Having killed Yoko, Xiao Hen turned his gaze to the Flower of the Other Shore on the goddess's corpse. His expression was excited, a smile spreading across his face. Finally, the main quest was about to be completed.
"Yoko..." On a platform not far away, Ying Caihong let out a mournful cry. Perhaps she wasn't grieving Yoko's death so much as despairing over her own failure to obtain the Flower of the Other Shore.
"This... he just killed her like that, just like that..." Big Gold Tooth stared in shock at Xiao Hen beside the coffin. He'd thought the guy was decent a moment ago, but now he'd ruthlessly cut down a flower and shot Yoko dead.
Bang bang bang...
Ying Caihong raised her pistol and fired a volley at Xiao Hen. But Xiao Hen's Combat Power was now as high as thirty-seven; at this distance, he could completely dodge the trajectory of pistol bullets. He shifted his body casually, evading Ying Caihong's shots.
Click click click... Ying Caihong's pistol ran out of ammo, letting out a series of clicks.
Heh.
Xiao Hen let out a cold laugh, then fixed his eyes on the Flower of the Other Shore. Better to grab the flower first.
But the moment Xiao Hen reached out, a red light flashed on the Flower of the Other Shore, and a towering crimson radiance blazed up.
"Not good!"
Xiao Hen lunged for the Flower of the Other Shore, but grabbed only air. The scenery around him had already changed drastically.
"Red light—not good, everyone get out, danger!" Hu Bayi shouted, pulling Shirley Yang and Wang Kaixuan as he prepared to retreat.
Too late, though...
As the red light swept through, ghostly Japanese soldier zombies appeared on the scene, and skeletal warriors wielding broadswords marched in step.
"Damn it!" Xiao Hen lowered his head, searching for the Flower of the Other Shore. As long as he collected it, these illusions would vanish.
Begging for collections and votes...
Sigh! I feel like a beggar, putting on a pitiful act and crying poor. But I really am pitiful. Can you take pity on me and give me some support?
