The employee NPC with a bug had a vacant stare and strange behavior, and refused to speak to anyone. But after he finished his "meal," he neatly placed his tray in the return window, straightened his clothes, and walked directly out of the cafeteria.
He looked no different from a normal NPC.
If Gu Jinxing hadn't just caught him eating air in the cafeteria, no player would have suspected anything was wrong if they ran into someone like him on the street.

The employee reached the end of a corridor, stopped by a door, and began slamming into the wall.
His behavior was just like the way players used to charge headlong into the invisible walls at the edges of the map.
Hu Jiayao: "...Won't he hurt himself doing that? Or do NPCs not lose health and can take more of a beating?"
As he spoke, he walked over to the wall and saw at a glance that the employee's forehead was already bruised and swollen.
"Uh, he can get hurt?" Hu Jiayao grabbed the employee's arm and tugged hard, trying to pull him back. "Hey, I'm talking to you. If something's bothering you, tell your buddy about it. Don't just stand here hurting yourself alone."
"Don't bother. He won't respond."
Gu Jinxing shook his head and summoned his system again. [Check whether there are any hidden items to pick up or nearby units I can talk to.]
He had scanned the employee with his system before and gotten no results. Now he decided to try a different approach. Maybe this NPC couldn't be detected by the system because of some bug, but the built-in programs that let him issue quests or drop equipment and items were still intact.
