Overview
Spirit Bones are rare treasures condensed or dropped by soul beasts. Unlike Soul Rings, their appearance is not guaranteed; even high-quality soul beasts may yield none. Their rarity makes them objects of competition among clans, sects, and powerful soul masters. 18 77 119 123
A Spirit Bone grants physical enhancement and an innate ability derived from the soul beast that produced it. Its usefulness depends heavily on its cultivation age, the bearer’s martial soul, and compatibility with the associated Soul Ring. 66 123 134
Types and Slots
A soul master may assemble a standard set of six Spirit Bones:
- Skull Bone — often valued for mental-strength enhancement; a mental-attribute skull bone exceeding 20,000 years can help a bearer endure the spiritual impact of a ten-thousand-year Soul Ring. 92
- Torso Bone — improves defense and vitality; a hundred-thousand-year torso bone is especially prized. 134
- Left Arm Bone
- Right Arm Bone
- Left Leg Bone
- Right Leg Bone 48 92 167
In addition to the six standard slots, External Spirit Bones can manifest outside the body’s ordinary bone slots. Feng Baiyu’s eyes and wings are External Spirit Bones, and both are growth-type. 8 167 197
Acquisition
Soul Beast Drops
Spirit Bones are normally acquired as drops after killing soul beasts, but the probability is extremely low. A 600-year Articuno failed to produce one, while a 70,000-year Ice Jade Scorpion unexpectedly yielded a left arm bone. 119 123
- A soul beast’s cultivation age does not guarantee a Spirit Bone drop. 119 123
- Hundred-thousand-year soul beasts are stated to certainly produce a Spirit Bone. 134
- The dropped bone inherits an ability at random from the soul beast’s abilities in life. 66
- Feng Baiyu claims that torturing and slaughtering a soul beast while making it feel extreme resentment can increase the drop rate, though it cannot guarantee a drop. 43
Trade and Reward
Spirit Bones are frequently used as high-value bargaining chips.
- Feng Qingluan offered a 20,000-year Spirit Bone as a bounty for a live pure-blooded phoenix. 20 21
- Ning Fengzhi provided a 30,000-year Soul Bone during negotiations with Feng Baiyu. 80
- Snow Empress traded ten hundred-thousand-year Spirit Bones for ten pieces of Ten Thousand Year Profound Ice Marrow. 167
- Feng Baiyu distributed Spirit Bones to subordinates and allies as compensation or rewards. 145 151 156 173
Rarity and Value
A Spirit Bone is described as priceless and rarely seen. Ten-thousand-year Spirit Bones are known as “Treasures of the Blood River,” treasures valuable enough to provoke widespread bloodshed. 77 161
| Tier | Documented significance |
|---|---|
| Thousand-year | Valuable enough to drive two duchies to war. 77 |
| Ten-thousand-year | A “Treasure of the Blood River”; can incite conflicts among kingdoms. 77 161 |
| Fifty-thousand-year | Valuable enough for Title Douluos to contend over. 161 |
| Hundred-thousand-year | Supreme treasure capable of greatly advancing a Title Douluo; can be more valuable than ordinary individual cultivation resources. 81 92 105 134 |
Compatibility and Absorption
A Spirit Bone is most effective when its attributes match the user’s martial soul and Soul Ring.
- The 70,000-year Ice Jade Scorpion Left Arm Bone can only be absorbed by a soul master with an Ultimate Ice martial soul. 123 124
- War Eagle’s hundred-thousand-year torso bone was exceptionally compatible with her Blazing Spirit Kite martial soul and matching Flame Prison Fire Eagle Soul Ring. 134 136
- Feng Baiyu assigned Tang Hao’s 80,000-year Dark Gold Bear Right Arm Bone to Shui Duanliu because it best matched his sharpness attribute. 173
A poor match can waste a rare treasure, while a compatible Soul Ring, Soul Bone, and martial soul can produce an exceptional transformation in strength. 66 134

External Spirit Bones
Eyes
Feng Baiyu’s eye-type External Spirit Bone grants Eye of the Fire Phoenix and Fire Phoenix True Sight. The latter can inspect martial souls, Soul Rings, Soul Skills, Spirit Bones, weaknesses, soul beast ages, and natural predators, though exceptionally obscure objects can overwhelm it. 8 17 43
Wings
Feng Baiyu gained Wings of the Firmament after completing the Phoenix God First Trial. The wings grant aerial mobility and are among his growth-type External Spirit Bones. 32 167 197
Hundred-Thousand-Year Transformation
When Feng Baiyu absorbed Tang Chen’s Spirit Bone origin energy, the energy from Tang Chen’s six bones was divided among Feng Baiyu’s five Spirit Bones. All five advanced to the hundred-thousand-year tier. 196 197
This transformation greatly improved:
- Physical defense and explosive power.
- Regeneration and endurance.
- Attribute enhancement.
- The strength of innate divine abilities. 196 197
Upon reaching the hundred-thousand-year tier, ordinary limb and torso Spirit Bones unlock a second innate Soul Bone skill. Feng Baiyu’s External Spirit Bones instead had their pre-existing dual innate abilities comprehensively strengthened. 196 197
Documented Hundred-Thousand-Year Abilities
- Phoenix Blood Boiling — Second ability of Feng Baiyu’s Benzhi left leg bone; an independent enhancement multiplier that stacks without being diluted by Phoenix True Body or Phoenix Domain. 197
- Purification — Second ability of the Radiant Phoenix Right Arm Soul Bone; purifies baleful aura, toxins, curses, inner demons, parasitic evil entities, and other corruptive energies. 197
- Ice Crystal — Feng Baiyu’s right leg bone ability; can simulate ice-attribute techniques such as ice blades, ice walls, and Ice Seal without activating Soul Skills. 182
- Evil Repelling — Ability of Feng Baiyu’s Radiant Phoenix right arm bone; suppresses dark, bloodthirsty, resentful, and evil-origin techniques while amplifying his attacks against them. 182
- Cultivation Through Poison — Enables Dugu Bo to cultivate through highly toxic environments and offers a path to resolve the Dugu family’s toxic backlash. 155
