After escaping Midgar, Cloud told the others about his history with Sephiroth.
Five years ago, Cloud had traveled with Sephiroth to his hometown of Nibelheim to investigate the aging Mako Reactor on Nibel Mountain.
Not only was the Mako Reactor aging, but many cruel monsters had also appeared there.
As the game screen shifted back to five years ago, Sephiroth made his first appearance. Though he only existed in a memory, just seeing him leaning against the aircraft gave off an oppressive presence. Of course, Song Ren felt that might also be because he knew Sephiroth was the final boss.
However, Cloud's behavior quickly drew his attention.
"What heavy rain!" Cloud exclaimed as he looked at the rain outside the window. Then, with a bright smile, he checked on the quiet, masked Shinra Soldier beside him, whose face could not be seen.
"Hey... you, stop making so much noise." Sephiroth leaned there, looking somewhat helplessly at the excited Cloud.
"I got some new Materia! I really want to try them out right away!" Cloud was extremely excited.
"...What a child." Sephiroth shook his head upon hearing that.
