Watching the cutscene before him, Song Ren could not help but sigh with feeling.
He had already watched this cutscene countless times over the past few days.
But watching it in VR mode still gave him a different experience, especially since these were classic IP characters he knew so well.
He did not choose to skip it. Only after watching Kirby gaze out over the ruined world and the Super Smash Bros. logo appear did Song Ren officially enter the game.
Amid the stirring background music, several options appeared before Song Ren.
There was an entry for Super Smash Bros. battles against AI opponents; an entry for Light of the Stars, the single-player Spirits story mode; and a multiplayer mode for facing other players online.
There was also a training mode for players, as well as unique Victory Brawls for each fighter.
What surprised Song Ren even more was that, just like in Mario Maker, players could create a personalized custom fighter through their own Character Creation in Super Smash Bros.
Of course, Song Ren did not choose the custom fighter.
After all, the game was called Super Smash Bros.
With so many beloved and popular IP characters right there, why would he insist on making a custom character?
At the very least, he would wait until he got tired of playing all those characters before trying a custom one.
"Let's warm up with an AI match first. I'll use Cloud as my character for my first brawl."
Song Ren happily opened Super Smash Bros., ready to give it a try.
Although he still did not know exactly which fighters were in the game,
one thing was certain: Cloud was definitely in it, since Cloud had appeared in the promotional CG trailer before.
