He had watched that less-than-four-minute demonstration video more than ten times. He knew every single one of Link's movements inside out.
He had even figured out the principles behind that unbelievably cool Infinite Bomb Air Combo.
It was nothing more than throwing a bomb at close range while attacking, then doing a short-hop forward aerial fast-fall. Since Link could catch the bomb he had thrown while in the air during the short hop, he could use the catch-and-drop sequence to reset his attack recovery and create a seamless combo. Finally, once there was no more ground beneath them, he could finish with an up special's spinning attack.
Throwing bombs—he could do that.
Short hops—he could do those too.
Catching bombs—he could do that as well.
All that remained was putting those three things together.
As the countdown to the match began, Song Ren had already pictured every scene of the upcoming fight in his head, placing himself into the perspective of the cool Link from the video.
The countdown ended, and an exciting game of Super Smash Bros. officially began. The first thing Song Ren did in-game was run toward the edge of the cliff.
