With a wild cry swallowed by the night wind of the battlefield, the Mechanical Dragon Tooth Greatsword, now transformed into a massive energy weapon,
fired a dim beam amid the spinning mechanical wings!
Boom—!
There was no explosion, no deafening blast.
A patch of ground roughly the size of an apartment was pierced through, leaving a massive hole. Reville's pupils shrank as the attack grazed past only a meter away from him.
Reville suddenly noticed the mechanical parts returning to Fang Ran's back and forming a single wing. Though the light had gone out,
the weapon in his hands had not lowered. This time, it was aimed directly at him!
Live ammunition!
As he saw the opponent being struck by several attacks at once, he reacted instantly, producing a dark brown shield of alloy and machinery in his hand. Even so, Reville still felt an enormous force slam into him!
"His shield level is too high!"
The rotating mechanical greatsword that had just been blocked launched another attack before Reville was hit. Watching Fang Ran endure every strike without harm,
then seeing more than ten percent of his own shield value wiped out by a single blow, Aineson shouted into the comm channel at Deni:
"A kinetic weakening field combined with high-intensity energy protection—ordinary attacks simply can't affect him!"
"It's fine. Keep attacking."
Deni had likewise sensed the strength of that black single-wing armor during their exchange, but his voice over the comms remained cold and proud:
"He's only relying on the armor's performance. As long as we break his shield in a short time, we can suppress him completely!"
Anyone who had reached B-rank in the Night Battle world would not be easily frightened away. The B-rank Participant hired by the factory was like that, and so was he.
