Hearing Adeline give that answer, Fang Ran was slightly surprised that it was an industry he had encountered before. Among the many industries Fies Erde had ventured into,
he had assumed the Covenant would definitely target oil or armaments, fields far removed from ordinary life and overflowing with staggering profits just from the sound of them.
He had even been prepared to fly to the Middle East today.
Seemingly noticing Fang Ran's surprise, Adeline, sitting beside him in an immaculate white suit that exuded noble dignity, spoke in a cool, composed voice:
"Other than some overseas investments, and the two pharmaceutical and medical device companies that operate as multinational corporations, our medical field businesses are basically all located in the United States."
"Last year, healthcare accounted for 17.8% of GDP. With the world's leading advanced medical standards and capacity for technological innovation, the healthcare industry is America's largest industry, whether viewed from an economic or social perspective."
Summing up the sheer scale of this industry within the country in a single sentence, Adeline looked at Fang Ran and said:
"Even among the dozen or so fields Fies Erde is involved in, the medical field's annual revenue ranks among the highest."
Hearing that, as though he had caught a glimpse of one corner of a mountain of gold,
Fang Ran sighed, already feeling a headache coming on:
"So what's going on with that 'medical field' now? Did they target some kind of achievement again?"
"Of the three main fields targeted this time, the medical field was the one most affected by the information leak. Research materials on various new drugs and medical devices were targeted one after another."
"So now that you have dealt with the root cause, Young Master, half of its problems have already been resolved."
