When I started writing the last chapter, I suddenly realized I had somehow reached four million words already.
Come to think of it, around this time last year, it seemed to have already been over 3.8 million words.
Those last hundred thousand-plus words took more than a year because of writer's block. (Embarrassed) (Wry smile)

Before I knew it, Night Battle had reached four million words.
Thinking back on the story so far, I thought of Fang Ran going from an ordinary young man to a participant, of the grand summer vacation he experienced.
I thought of him protecting the everyday life he had returned to at Jing University, of his time journey into the Arctic, and finally his decisive battle with the Nevernight Palace Queen.
I thought of him setting out for the National War with confidence, experiencing adventures in Europe, and at the end of his journey, firing an arrow into despair to reclaim his wish.
And then, after settling himself in the night wind,
This time, he came to North America, and after a series of twists and turns, finally faced the pinnacle of Night Battle and resolved the crisis.
It truly had been a long journey.
Sometimes, I still could not believe that I had written this much, so it really was the phrase I had said so many times:
Not to mention that the string inside me had snapped from all the pain before, leaving my updates pitifully few.
