Like the real world, the Night Battle world had its own social classes.
In a Participant society where one person awakened from roughly a million, though the exact total could not be counted,
under the Night Battles System's rank classifications, the hierarchy was incredibly distinct.
The E-Ranks, who had just awakened somewhere in the world, were still ignorant and confused, having only just obtained their abilities and knowing nothing.
The D-Ranks had initially grasped their power, either choosing to hide in the real world or beginning to stand out among the crowd. A very small number of lucky ones could even join a Participant organization.
Then, after these two classes collectively known as "newcomers,"
came those whose strength had risen and whose abilities had fully taken shape. They could be said to have left the lower levels of the Night Battle world and were known as "Participants."
A small portion were elite members of official forces at the Top of the Tower, while the backbone consisted of cadres from private organizations of all sizes.
And then there were the Wanderers, the largest group, who operated in teams or alone on the Night Web black market and employment information interfaces without relying on any faction.
Together, they formed the C-Rank—the most populous rank in the Night Battle world, spread across the globe and supporting the entire Participant society, a level most people could reach after more than ten years.
Only on that foundation were there B-Ranks, who became even more powerful as they further developed their abilities. Most of them were core members of organizations affiliated with the three major powers.
Or leaders capable of founding private organizations, as well as famous figures among the Wanderers.
And beyond them,
were the A-Ranks.
They had completely surpassed most limits of being human,
