It was a tiny snake, black from head to tail and no thicker than a thumb, yet it radiated a cold, dangerous aura. Set in its triangular head was a pair of scarlet vertical pupils, gazing down icily at the Primal Magnetism Mystic Turtle feasting below.
"Little turtle, you've got some nerve."
The black snake spoke in human words, its voice hoarse and icy, laced with contempt and mockery.
Before its words had even faded, it suddenly opened its mouth, exposing a pair of slender fangs, and viciously bit down on the Primal Magnetism Mystic Turtle's neck!
The Primal Magnetism Mystic Turtle had been immersed in the delicious food. Caught completely off guard, it was bitten squarely in the neck and let out a pained howl. Its four short legs frantically kicked against the stone wall, but due to the magnetic pull, it could not break free no matter what.
It desperately shook its head, trying to fling off the black snake, but the snake clamped down without letting go, its fangs sinking deep into the soft flesh between the turtle shell's seams.
"Not good!"
Chen Changming's face darkened abruptly. His gaze locked onto the mysterious black snake that had emerged from a gap in the Primal Magnetism Ironstone mine, and he shot toward the stone wall!
His feet stomped through the air, and his entire body flew forth like an arrow loosed from the bow. His right fist was already clenched, purple-black light flickering over its surface as he prepared to unleash a thunderous blow at any moment.
Yet before Chen Changming could arrive—
The black snake's head suddenly swelled at a rate visible to the naked eye. Its head, originally no thicker than a thumb, became as enormous as a water vat in the blink of an eye.
