Zhu Yu froze. When he recovered, his first instinct was to suspect that Spot was lying to him. But after a moment's thought, he realized Spot had no reason to lie.

In all his years in the Insect Realm, he had only ever seen one wild, god-given Fire Date in the Red Fire Ant Tribe.

Zhu Yu suppressed his curiosity and excitement and asked, "What does Spot want in exchange for telling Giant Peak about the Wild God-Given Spirit Seed?"

Spot turned to glance at Fire Tail and the others, who were chattering away while recruiting spirit beasts and Insect Clan Warriors to harvest Giant Peak's fruit. After a moment's hesitation, it said, "Giant Peak, can Spot become your dependent?—"

Before Zhu Yu could answer...

It continued, "Spot found that Wild God-Given Spirit Seed inside a cave while looking for Spirit Seeds in the Wilderness."

"It's really, really big, but it doesn't like Spot."

"It scolded Spot for ages—"

Without waiting for Zhu Yu to ask...

Spot explained exactly where it had discovered the Wild God-Given Spirit Seed.

"Become Giant Peak's dependent—"

"As long as Spot is telling the truth, Giant Peak agrees—"

After only a moment's thought, Zhu Yu nodded his agreement. Then he spread his wings and rose into the air, reaching out to draw Spot close. He told Fire Tail and the others that he was going out for a while and that they needn't worry.

Then he became a faint streak of light and shot straight into the sky.

Within that region, spiritual energies ran wild, and natural disasters were frequent.

It also held all manner of dangers, most commonly the evil spirit beasts rejected
