Then he spotted Luffy in midair. "What? He's up there? Those guys turned the riverbank into a complete mess. And I came all this way for nothing."
Behind a ruined building behind Blackbeard, someone was hiding. He was a comrade of the Revolutionary Army, speaking into a Transponder Snail. "The first division captain of the Blackbeard Pirates, Burgess, the captain of the Zisha Eighteen Threads... After the battle at the coliseum, we thought he had disappeared without a trace. Who would have thought he'd show up in a place like this?"
Burgess said, "Whether I chase him or not, I definitely won't let you get away. I won't fail to get what I want, either."
So he really was after Luffy and the others. What was his objective? Sabo's comrade in the Revolutionary Army was a little worried.
Over at the coliseum, Viola and the others had already descended into the arena.
"Now it's just Luffy's final battle against that man, right?" the former King Riku asked Meolet over the Transponder Snail.
"Yes, Father. Among the officers, only Donquixote Doflamingo remains," Viola said.
"In other words, if Luffy defeats Donquixote Doflamingo, the Birdcage that's slicing through the city will disappear, and the Doflamingo Family will be destroyed, correct?"
"Yes," Meolet said.
Meanwhile, Zoro-Land ran down the street toward them. "Where did those guys go? Did they get lost?"
