The Magic Array aboard the Magic Alchemical Warship slowly activated.
Golden Goat Herolf let out an arrogant howl.
Sabastine focused and braced herself. Though she knew this time might be the end, she still refused to give up. This female pirate captain had spent her life ruling the seas. Although she had repeatedly run into peerless prodigies such as Zimmerman and Menilman and suffered setbacks at every turn, she was in truth an exceptionally resolute person who had never been willing to accept her fate.
Otherwise, she would never have rebelled against the Imperial Navy of the Empire of Fars and become a great pirate once more.
Yet the radiance of the Magic Array did not fall upon Golden Goat Herolf. It fell upon Sabastine.
Golden Goat Herolf's expression froze. Sabastine could not help letting out a long cry, her Magic Rapier sweeping across the sky and earth as she unleashed a ferocity she had never displayed before.
Golden Goat Herolf blocked three strikes, then was stabbed once by the Magic Array-enhanced Sabastine. Yet this veteran pirate captain was no ordinary man. Enduring the blow, he soared into the air and beckoned with one hand. The phantom of Holy Spirit Michael spread across half the sky.
Charlotte knew that, powerful though the Magic Alchemical Warship was, it could never stand against a Holy Spirit. He had already set the warship in motion, steering it toward Menilman's flagship. As long as they could widen the distance, the Holy Spirit's power would steadily weaken. Once they escaped the range of its divine might, they would be completely safe.
Menilman, Domitian, and Archpriest Augsladin had long noticed the battle here. Fearing Sabastine would be killed by Golden Goat Herolf, all three had already taken to the air to come to her "rescue."
