The carriage Anne rode in had a rather childlike name—Miss Pumpkin!
It was pulled by a rare magical beast known as the Unicorn Deer.
This magical beast was tall and had stamina no horse could match. As a carriage-puller, aside from being large and handsome, having glossy fur, and possessing beautiful antlers, it had nothing particularly remarkable. But Unicorn Deer were naturally lightning-element magical beasts. Whenever they sensed danger, they released a net of thunder to protect themselves and the carriage they pulled. Thus, they were beloved by nobles throughout the Old Continent.
However, Unicorn Deer allowed only pure maidens to approach them. Therefore, choosing Unicorn Deer to pull a carriage was often a declaration that a young lady of the family was pure and immaculate.
The four Unicorn Deer Anne kept to pull her carriage all loved pumpkins most.
That was why this carriage was called Miss Pumpkin.
It had nothing to do with the carriage's appearance.
This carriage came from the Stars Workshop and was a genuine High-Order Transcendent wonder. It might not have been more luxurious than Dark Luxury, but it was brand-new, and Anne was its first owner. Unlike Dark Luxury, it had no idea how many hands it had passed through.
The driver was a maid in a maple-leaf dress. From afar, she gave Charlotte a slight nod of greeting. She had clearly at least heard his name, and there was a hint of familiarity in her manner.
Anne and Nanny Karen had already stepped down from the carriage.
In Charlotte's memory, this was Anne's first appearance in full formal dress. When she saw him, Anne blinked and gave him a mischievous smile, but said nothing. Nanny Karen smiled and said, "The Count sent me and fifty Knights. Mr. Mecklen, you may rest assured!"
