Charlotte's first time on a battlefield had been when he returned to the Duchy of Behemoth to fight the South Seraph Restoration Army. Most of his later battles had also been connected to South Seraph. He had never expected that, in the end, he would still have to fight a battle in South Seraph. It was rather moving.
Facing a New Continent fleet numbering several thousand ships, Charlotte chose to use the Holy Light Divine Kingdom and the Emilia as its core, linking all the vessels together to form a maze upon the sea. Billowing mist spread out and shrouded the entire fleet.
Charlotte was not someone who delighted in warfare, and he knew that an excessively large army was not actually beneficial in war. He had long since converted most of his ships into merchant vessels and put them into trade and transport. His current fleet numbered only a little over a thousand warships, mainly Ghost Ships, keeping the burden of logistics low.
When they saw Charlotte's fleet swallowed by the mist, the expressions of the seven New Continent Council chairmen atop Arcadia Port's walls all shifted slightly.
Avish's hatred for Charlotte had grown unfathomably deep. He had originally been one of the New Continent Council's three chairmen. If he could have taken Black Phoenix City and occupied all of Duke Mecklen's Territory, then even if more people came from the New Continent, they would still have had to rank beneath the three chairmen.
But after the battle at Black Phoenix City, he had lost all his troops. Montblanc had even died, while Merchel had surrendered. Avish could not stand alone, and as immigrant forces from the New Continent kept pouring in, he had become an insignificant figure within the New Continent Council.
Among the current seven chairmen, Romios
