In the Christopher Region of the New Continent, everyone suddenly felt the entire landmass shake. Most of the region's residents then witnessed a scene like the end of the world.
A monster resembling a ball of flesh, covered in countless tentacles and dozens of kilometers long, slowly rose into the sky.
Most Transcendents, or anyone with a certain degree of knowledge and experience, could not help crying out, "Evil God Gompas!"
In another region of the New Continent, the same phenomenon occurred. A mass of swamp-like black mud slowly squirmed out of the ground and wriggled toward the sea. Everything in its path, no matter what it was, was swept into the black mud. When it finally sank into the ocean, it had eroded a long riverbed across the ground, causing seawater to flow backward and form a saltwater river.
Across the New Continent, eight such ominous signs appeared. Countless wild beasts, poultry, and livestock gathered together and continuously rotted, forming indescribable masses of stinking bones, mud, flesh, decay, and ruin. Others were drifting gray fog, with countless human figures swaying within.
Without exception, they all rushed into the sea and never looked back, heading straight for the Old Continent.
The residents of the New Continent had no idea what had happened, nor did they know whether these evil gods would return. They lived in terror. The residents of the Old Continent, meanwhile, knew nothing at all, unaware that danger was about to descend.
A middle-aged man dressed as a traveler strolled through a city on the New Continent, carrying a leather suitcase. Suddenly, he sensed the entire world. He looked up toward the sea, unable to hide his surprise, and muttered, "Why have these pieces of trash suddenly gone insane? What are they going to the Old Continent for?"
