Charlotte was cultivating with his eyes closed when a thought entered his mind: Machu Picchu's second-stage Labyrinthization is complete!
He opened his eyes and smiled faintly. After sensing it out, he found that the new Machu Picchu Fortress—the fortress of the ancient Orc Kingdom—was actually enormous. After all, it had once been known as Machu Picchu, the fortress that would never fall.
It had been built between two mountain peaks and stood along a major route of travel. At its height, it had housed two hundred and seventy thousand troops and contained hundreds of barracks. It had been the final bulwark protecting Strasbourg.
After the Sherlock Dynasty captured the fortress through trickery, it would rather burn Machu Picchu to the ground and turn this ancient Orc Kingdom fortress into ruins. It was simply too difficult to assault. The Sherlock Dynasty had lost too many troops, was eager to seize Strasbourg, and lacked sufficient forces to garrison the fortress.
Later, after destroying the ancient Orc Kingdom, the Sherlock Dynasty simply built another official road around Machu Picchu and abandoned any plans to repair the fortress.
With Machu Picchu's second-stage Labyrinthization complete, Charlotte could do much more with the ruins of this ancient Orc Kingdom fortress. He could even clear away collapsed structures and set up entirely new buildings, though generating new buildings consumed a great deal of time and required the cooperation of the NPCs.
Charlotte's consciousness rippled through the labyrinth, and he swiftly sensed what was happening. Without hesitation, he took one step and arrived at the scene.
Standing on high ground and looking down at everyone, Charlotte shouted decisively, "Members of the West Wind Knight Regiment! Those willing to obey my orders, move east!"
