As Charlotte negotiated with several hundred exhausted veterans, a gigantic black ape approached Sherr City.

• Hughes told Charlotte that he had decided to become a bloodkin and that most of his South Seraph Restoration Army wanted to return to their homeland.
• Charlotte agreed to take in Hughes and the soldiers, intending to send them to the New Continent Council Free Zone and keep the veterans apart from Duke Mecklen's Territory.
