The palace seemed to have some kind of intelligent system. It detected Li Yu and Ōtsutsuki Isshiki's return and immediately notified the butler, Snofak.

"Every time I come here, I feel right at home. They really do treat the Ōtsutsuki as honored guests."

Two neat rows of Pusino People stood on either side. Stepping over the soft red carpet, they entered the palace one step at a time.

"True God, welcome back. Do you have any orders?" Snofak asked, bowing respectfully.

"No. There are no orders. Dismiss yourselves and get back to whatever you should be doing."

"Yes."

Snofak pressed a button on his hand, and the Pusino People standing in two rows heard his voice through their earpieces.

"Get back to what you should be doing. Dismissed."

As Li Yu headed up to the second floor, he heard the door to a side room on the third floor suddenly open, and two beautiful figures came jogging out.

Alice and Jessie hurried down the stairs toward Li Yu, completely ignoring Ōtsutsuki Isshiki in front of them.

"Master, you're back!"

Alice stopped a few steps above Li Yu, beaming so brightly that her eyes curved into crescents. Combined with her willow-like brows and hands-on-hips pose, she looked utterly adorable.

"Welcome back! You came back so late."

Jessie squinted as she waved. Her hands were clasped together, elbows bent and held at her side, her lotus-root-like arms raised beside her. When she saw Li Yu merely freeze for a moment, she showed no major reaction.

"Just kidding!" Jessie added playfully. Her lovely smile faded, and a trace of disappointment flashed through her eyes. It seemed she had carefully prepared all this.
