"Conditions?" Nalant froze, unable to grasp what the Flower of Tulip was up to. "Miss Stella, what conditions?"
"What conditions? I haven't thought of them yet. I'll tell you once I have. But they definitely won't harm your interests or endanger your life!" Stella answered matter-of-factly.
After hearing that, Nalant felt that this scenario seemed awfully familiar. Wasn't it something that often appeared in films and television shows from his previous life?
He looked at Stella with a rather peculiar expression.
Usually, after a scenario like this, the male and female leads would go on to have a love story worthy of song and tears.
So, would things between him and the Flower of Tulip develop just like those scenarios?
"Very well, Miss Stella!" Though his thoughts were running wild, Nalant did not hesitate in the slightest. If it would not harm his interests or threaten his life, what was there for him to fear?
"Mhm!" Stella nodded in satisfaction.
After a pause, she continued, "Put that ballista under my name for now as well!"
"Hm?"
Nalant's heart suddenly skipped half a beat. He stared intently at Stella for a moment, and only after seeing that her expression remained as cold and aloof as ever did he nod solemnly. "Yes, Miss Stella!"
To be honest, at that instant, Nalant truly felt something strange stirring in his heart.
Stella had voluntarily placed the ballista under her own name. Clearly, it was not to claim credit.
Rather, because Nalant had not responded to the requests for aid from the First Prince, Tony, and the few other noble heirs, he would very likely suffer their resentment afterward.
So, by placing the ballista under the Tulip Family's name, Stella was effectively drawing the First Prince and the others' resentment onto the Tulip Family.
