Background / History
Nalant is a transmigrator who becomes lord of the dangerous Storm Territory, a frontier domain known as the “Land of Misfortune” because of recurring Dark Creature attacks and the deaths of its previous lords. After receiving nightmares that foretell meteor-borne invasions, he resolves to protect the territory rather than abandon it. A system binds to him after he completes the first nightmare premonition, granting Energy Points, quests, a weekly lottery, and a Search Function. 1
Early in his rule, Nalant discovers that the feared “Daughters of Misfortune” are actually girls with extraordinary talents capable of restraining Dark Creatures. He saves Vivian from execution and later publicly describes the girls under his protection as “Daughters of Luck.” 2 111 Catherine initially enters his life as an assassin, but Nalant chooses surveillance over immediate retaliation; she later reunites with her father, John, after Nalant forgives John’s past disloyalty. 112 154
He develops Storm Territory through trade, agriculture, infrastructure, and military reform. His caravans sell salt and dried fish across six territories, while Dragon Brand Jasmine perfume becomes a valuable prestige product. He invests in stone housing, blacksmithing, waterwheels, new crops, and trained administrative staff. 49 86 107 170
Appearance
Nalant is repeatedly described as a handsome, approachable young nobleman whose warm smile and refined manners attract attention from noble ladies. His appearance contrasts with his intimidating reputation as a dangerous and highly capable commander. 202 901

Personality
Nalant is pragmatic, inventive, and highly adaptable. He routinely applies knowledge from his previous life to territorial development, commerce, battlefield medicine, military drill, and unconventional warfare. When questioned about his inventions, he commonly attributes them to “ancient books,” concealing the system and his origins. 368 374
As a lord, Nalant is notably generous toward subjects and subordinates. He rewards merit with housing, coins, food, strange fruits, equipment, and opportunities for advancement. His policies improve the morale and living conditions of Storm Territory’s serfs, guards, barbarians, and non-human allies. 289 500 834 1105
He is also theatrical and shameless when it serves a purpose. Nalant can stage convincing performances to win over barbarians, mislead enemies, or lure stronger opponents into lowering their guard. 590 1473 Despite this, he shows genuine loyalty to allies, refusing to abandon them even when pursued by a bone dragon or threatened by the Beastfolk. 926 744
