But the problem was, as long as Nalant ahead did not stop his mad dash, their warhorses could not stop at all.
More importantly, the warhorses beneath them were covered in heavy armor, and they themselves were clad in iron armor as well.
Yet that bastard Nalant was utterly shameless.
Neither he nor his subordinates had armor on their horses, and they themselves wore nothing but ordinary clothes.
That greatly reduced the weight. Their own warhorses had already run themselves to exhaustion and might collapse before long, while Nalant's horses could hold out much longer.
"Nalant, if I catch you, I will make you die in agony!" Udi roared at Nalant ahead, his eyes bloodshot!
"Heh heh!" Hearing the furious shout behind him, Nalant smiled. "Looks like it hasn't lasted long enough. Then let the horses run a while more!"
The more viciously Udi cursed, the longer he ran.
Although the horse beneath him was sweating lightly as well, it still had some strength left.
And so, amid Udi's foul-mouthed curses, Nalant drove his warhorse in another mad dash for half an hour.
During that time, many of the Northern Principality's warhorses behind them began to run out of strength and gradually fell behind.
Udi and the others' horses were no better off. They were drenched in sweat, gasping heavily, and running slower than they had originally trotted.
"That's about enough!" Seeing this, Nalant knew he could not keep running.
He still needed his warhorse to escape. He could not afford to perish together with them.
Moreover, after half an hour, Udi had lost his temper. He was no longer cursing, merely staring at Nalant with bloodshot eyes.
"God of Glory, thank you for your favor upon me, Your Elderly Self. Now, you may spare these poor horses!" Nalant's charlatan
