Wulun pointed toward a towering mountain range ahead.
The range looked quite different from the surrounding mountains. Five lofty main peaks rose distinctly apart from one another, somewhat resembling a five-fingered peak.
"Interesting!" Nalant nodded, now understanding how Wulun had found the target amidst this boundless snowy plain.
The group immediately picked up the pace and continued onward.
As the saying went, a mountain may be in sight, yet it could run a horse to death. Though the range had already appeared at the edge of the horizon, Nalant and the others still spent a full two or three hours before reaching a point more than a li away from it.
The terrain ahead had now changed. Forests had appeared before the steep, towering mountain range, which stood at least a thousand meters high.
"My lord, once we pass through the forest and reach the foot of the tallest peak, we'll be able to see the trail!"
"Mhm. It's already noon. Let's finish lunch before continuing. Big Stone, give him a piece of roasted meat!"
"Thank you, my lord!" Receiving the roasted meat Big Stone handed over, which weighed more than two jin, Wulun immediately bowed respectfully to Nalant.
Over the past two days of travel, Wulun's attitude toward Nalant had changed drastically. That much could be seen simply from the way he addressed him.
This was all thanks to Big Stone filling his head with tales of Nalant's mighty deeds along the way.
There was no need even to mention slaying Dark Creatures. As for the divine maidens, Big Stone had told him that Nalant actually had five divine maidens by his side.
Naturally, Wulun had not believed it at first. Seeing even a single divine envoy had seemed unprecedented to him—how could so many divine envoys possibly exist?
