The mortal world lay silent.

A massive steel beast tore through the night sky, flying straight south.

At around four thirty in the morning, the transport plane landed at a military base on the outskirts of Coburn City.

Not long afterward, five or six military armored vehicles drove out of the base, packed with fully armed Empire soldiers.

Altogether, there were roughly a hundred men.

The unit headed directly for Coburn City's train station, its roaring engines waking many residents along the way.

Yet no one knew why the military was moving in the middle of the night. They could only feel that something major might have happened.

Once the armored vehicles arrived at the station, the troops swiftly took control under the command of a captain and sealed off every entrance and exit.

The station's remaining security guards and administrators all wore terrified expressions, having no idea what had happened to warrant such a massive deployment.

After giving a few instructions to his adjutant, the captain straightened his collar and cap, then strode over to a young gentleman in a suit and performed a cross salute.

"Sir, I have sealed off the station as instructed. Please issue your next orders!"

"Once the Black Swordsman arrives, maintain order and prevent panic or unrest."

Leaning on his black cane, Gilan spoke calmly.

"An extremely dangerous individual has infiltrated that train. Ordinary firearms are useless against him. I can only suppress him myself."

The captain was startled by this.

He knew very well who this young officer was. If even Gilan called someone dangerous, then it was certainly not an enemy the military could handle.

"Yes, sir!" The captain lowered his head.

Gilan nodded.

He then turned and walked a few steps toward the guard booth, addressing the flustered station administrators
