Yaz Moran's expression shifted slightly.

She had wanted to deny it, but when she looked up and saw those bewitching, deep violet-red eyes, she swallowed the words that had reached her lips.

The proprietress then shot Gilan a meaningful look.

"Sorry, sir, I've never heard of any 'Solidified Book Bureau.'"

"Corbin is currently facing disaster. On behalf of the Empire authorities and the Mystery Investigation Committee, I've come to provide aid. Follow-up support teams are still on their way, but we are severely short-handed. Would you be willing to accept my recruitment?"

"Recruitment?"

Gilan nodded, then turned toward the rear and called out:

"Mr. Azure Stork."

A steady-looking man in his thirties approached. He, too, wore a suit and leather shoes, along with a blue tie, his hair combed impeccably neat.

He was none other than the "Index Finger" of the Hand of Dawn, Franco Thurman.

Lady Crow had dispatched him to lead a Film Critics squad in support of Gilan. After the two parties met at Dawn Cathedral, they had set off together and passed through this place.

"Ms. Yaz, I am Azure Stork of the Record Society, and also the leader of this squad."

Franco said in a low voice.

"We will assist Mr. Gilan Iros in fighting the mysterious calamity currently unfolding in Corbin."
