Liszt had no idea how vast the Legendary Continent was. Based on some previous conjectures, combined with Ake Roides's study of astronomy, he could roughly infer that this world was a gigantic sphere.
Yet limited by incomplete theory and a lack of measuring instruments, no more precise verification could be carried out, much less any calculation of the Legendary Continent's size. And in these past few years, even after Liszt had become a Dragon Knight and Ake had become a Magician, they still had not had the time to travel the world.
Their range of activity had basically been confined to the northeastern corner of the Legendary Continent, along with the Azure Sea and Shell Sea. The farthest they had gone was the edge of the Devil Sea.
His understanding of this planet was limited to knowing that two continents lay upon the boundless ocean—the Legendary Continent and the Mafa Continent.
But it was difficult to determine how these two continents were distributed across the planet. If the land could not be mapped out, then the distribution of the oceans was naturally unclear as well. Sometimes Liszt wondered whether the Legendary Continent and the Mafa Continent might occupy positions similar to Eurasia and the Americas.
Each on a different hemisphere of this planet.
Without actual survey data to support it, he could only make such wild guesses. As it happened, after reviving the seven mermaids and lamenting the decline of their kind, the seven mermaids decided to make a voyage around the seas to search for other surviving mermaids.
Liszt therefore entrusted the mermaids with sextants, asking them to survey the distribution of the Legendary Continent's coastline, while also mapping the depths and locations of the seas.
