King Lotus was an enormous plant. Its water-element magic was quite dense; a single plant should yield around a dozen bottles of potion.
For an arcanist specializing in potion extraction, this task took only half a day. Liszt personally sampled the finished potions. Although his battle aura was fire-elemental, that did not prevent him from judging the quality of potions of other elements. Yet after swallowing it, he found the potion's impact to be extremely weak.
He immediately frowned. "Something's wrong. Its magical impact isn't even as strong as that of a mixed common potion."
The Royal Arcane Academy, also known as the Magic Guild, classified potions into six grades: mixed common, single common, special common, potent potion, auxiliary potion, and dragon potion. Mixed common potions were the most ordinary chaotic-element potions. Even at its worst, a King Lotus potion should have been a single common potion. He had not expected it to be so weak.
Headmistress Chris also tried a bottle of King Lotus potion—whenever Liszt visited the Royal Arcane Academy, Chris was invariably the one who received him.
"Your Majesty, the potency of the King Lotus potion is too weak. Of all the single common potions I have seen, this is probably the worst."
"Test it several more times. See whether it has the potential to become an auxiliary potion."
"Yes." Chris promptly arranged for specialized knights to assist with the tests. Unfortunately, the King Lotus potion showed none of the properties of an auxiliary potion. "Now there is only one possibility left: whether the King Lotus potion has the potential to become a dragon potion. Only Your Majesty can test that personally."
"Mm." Liszt nodded, took two bottles of King Lotus potion, and directly summoned the Invisible Dragon, Bard.
"Wuiya!"
"Come on, Bard. We're going to Mermaid
